In an interview outside a charity event for the LA Boys and Girls Clubs in Malibu, Marcus Williams spoke about the Nets' upcoming season and his own place on the team. Noting that the Nets will have a healthy starting lineup with Richard Jefferson and Nenad Krstic back and "one of the best benches in the league", Williams said, "We should do big things". He also said it will be "difficult" to steal time from the team's All-Stars.

Could someone please wake Marcus up when they interview him? I hope all the stuff he was told last season is marinating and he doesn't just come in looking to rack up a bunch of points. It's tough to tell being summer ball and all but he's really not showing any improvement defensively and I really hate the idea of playing him alongside Kidd.

If the Nets are going to do "Big Things" like Marcus says, he needs to play a whole lot better next season. He is one of the most important players on the team, b/c his job is to make to sure Kidd gets enough rest and stays healthy. I hope he has realized that by now.

yeah, he better pass even more than last season, and make less mistakes, too. cause although highly unlikely, that'd be crazy awesome.
