hello everyone and fellow bears fans.

i just want to take this time to say thank you to all the moderators and creators of this beautiful site! i have been a bears fan for over 25 years and cannot wait til the season kicks off. things are looking very promising for the monsters of the midway. a totally revamped offense with two tight ends who are more than capable of beating lbs who try covering them, devin hester who is arguably already one of the dangerous if not most dangerous players on the field when the ball is in his hands! as you can tell by my exclamation points im very excited, i called it last year in the preseason that the bears will be in the superbowl health permitting and even without the likes of mike brown, tommie harris the d' still played well enough to make it there. which that side of the ball bar none when healthy is uncontested in this league, the only closest rival i see to them on that side of the ball is baltimore.

i know rex grossman is the main factor to this equation but with the new and improved dynamic offense put into place including a shotgun package i think he will excel. and for getting as much flack as he has gotten he did pretty damn well his first full season in the nfl. to this day ive yet to see an nfl quarterback who went to the superbowl catch so much flack, and that even includes one trent dilfer on the ravens back in 2000. i think with this new system and another year of experience under his belt grossman will excel and show the rest of the critics what he is made of. i raise my glass to a healthy, long, prosperous football season ahead of us. thank god football is back again, i swear the 16-week season goes by way too quickly!!

take care everyone- see you soon on the boards and good luck to the rest of teams you root for!

I can't wait for the upcoming season! I'm just hoping Rex can get his act together by that time.

I'm a HUGE bears fan. I want Grossman to succeed. But I can't help but want to see him go QB for Miami (like all failed ex-bears QBs do [IMG]

Give Rex a chance. I think he will be alright. I'm not gonna worry to much about the preseason. However, he needs to show definite improvement tonight against the 49ers. The real test will come in the season opener in San Diego.
