A boring but very plausible trade

?

  1. Yes

    8.6%
  2. If Philly threw in a pick or two I'd go for it

    48.6%
  3. No

I shot down a Harris trade in this thread in May. His contract is horrible.

But if they included Thybulle in that scenario instead of Milton it might be the best we can do.

I don't think they'd do that - they don't have enough forwards, and he's really blossoming. But we should definitely demand it.

I would consider Thybulle more of a guard. I know he can guard SFs but he is only 200 lbs. If people are going to question NP at the SF position when he weighs in at 215 (with the same 6'11" wingspan as Thybulle) then what about Matisse? Plus they are getting DJ in the trade so they would be trading a forward and Guard for a Forward and a Guard. The only way I would consider it.

Hey, I'm with you. I'd throw in Nas on our end as well if that's what it took.

Not me. I would throw in Nas for Simmons but not Harris.

    Dame-Powell-RoCo-Harris-Nurk

    is probably an upgrade over

    Dame-CJ-Powell-RoCo-Nurk

and a definite upgrade over what the starters would look like if Powell walks

but it would leave Portland still needing...something....and even less flexibility than they already have

I think the Blazers would only need to add a couple key bench players like a Josh Hart, and a Seth Curry-type shooter to make them a contender with that starting 5. So i'd do a CJ for Harris/Curry deal.

The Pels could renounce the rights to Hart, to continue to open cap space.

For all the bitching we hear about CJ's contract, I don't think people have seen what Tobias Harris is due to make. And the kind of production you get for that $.

I want nothing to do with that guy.
