I'd keep Simons and Little in front of him but I'm starting to feel Neil is getting ready to thin the roster at the wing... Hope we get to keep Little.
Funny story: I was all in on drafting Rudy Gay ahead of Brandon Roy in '06. It would be ironic for me personally if we were to sign him after all these years.
I'm about this anyways. We know that Simmons is probably a little better than Siakam overall right now anyway, Siakam just doesn't have the shooting liability but the upside of Simmons is phenomenal. By the end of their contracts Simmons could be better than Dame ever will be... you just can't say that about Siakam. So I would leverage whatever draft capital needed.
I gives you flexibility in a trade to include him but obviously Ben isn't coming close to doing what Ant does and that is pretty sad since it isn't like Ant has lit the world on fire (outside of a few games). I think this is just bench filler.
I'd rather have Ant than Ben but if we did sign Ben to be able to include Ant in a trade, CJ + Ant = ?
As is Dame / Simons CJ / McLemore Powell / Nas Roco / DJ / Brown Nurk / Zeller i really don't get this roster construction.
What don't you get? Other than trading CJ and moving Norm to SG it was always going to look something like this. I actually like it better than last year (not that it is saying much).
