If it is for the tpmle i don't like it. We lose Kanter for nothing. I would rather have had Kanter back plus whoever else we could get with tpmle. Or would have just signed Hassan back at a minimum deal.
Deal is still fine imo. Just fine Vs great (that it would be for min) but Kanter has to go for us to improve as a team. Nice guy but this is business and Dame is going to ask out if we don't make changes. Hassan I would be fine with though.
Best players regardless of position still available, in my estimation: - Kawhi - Collins (RFA) - DeRozan - Oladipo - Oubre - Mills - Schroeder - Hart - Monk - Nunn All of them are probably worth the MLE if not more. There is no capspace left among playoff teams. There won't be that many S&Ts. Someone is going to get underpaid. I think it really makes sense for us to dump DJ.
Not possible. Lowest it could start is 16M, which puts us at 131M already with 5 spots to fill. 3 on zeller, mclemore and brown is 135M with 2 spots to fill. Full MLE goes over the apron already.

I expect a CJ trade still. but I'm OK with what has been done so far. I think Zeller better all around than Kanter. Mclemore doesn't really replace Melo but just knowing Melo not coming back is an upgrade and we know whoever replaces him will be benched if he is not producing, something that didn't happen with Melo.
If it’s for 5m it makes sense because then it allows us to sign Greg brown to a 3 or 4 year deal using the remaining 900k on the MLE
