    Stock Watch:

Mudiay: down. He's a pure passer, but was outplayed by younger opponents. Game 2 was good - 1 and 3, not so much.
Greg Brown: Steady, future looks promising. On track for a 3rd year leap as he understands more, and his body fills out.
Watford: down - does a little of everything.
Faried: down - not a difference maker, but still an interesting candidate to make training camp, and maybe the team. Blocked a dunk attempt.
Blakney: Steady - seems like the only one who can get buckets...
CJE: down. Does many of the little things (hence, the green lantern reference), but it's not enough if he can't shoot.
Beasley: down. As someone pointed out, his yelling at Faried - Twice - was when the team tanked.

he's a 2nd round pick making over 1.5M this year. Maybe there's an airball incentive in his contract

I was kind of hoping the Blazers could get into the last part of the 1st round and draft Chris Duarte. But Indiana reached for him at 13. I think he's going to be a real solid player in the Dillon Brooks mold, only a much better shooter

When Elleby was drafted, I posted about how broken his shot was....and was rebutted multiple times.

Nothing has changed....either in mechanics, and certainly not in results. My goodness he can't shoot.

He feels like one of those "his advanced analytics are off the charts!" picks.

I just want preseason to get here. Imo, as a fan, summer league isn't on my radar. It's just guys working on things so of course they are either gonna really suck or really get it. There's no in between. So no reason to watch. Again, imo.

After the first two games i was sure we were going 82-0 this year, but this has brought me back to reality.

    It's going to be 0-82.

Terrible shooting aside, I thought this was Elleby's best game overall. He was more under control on offense. He looked like the tenacious all over the court Elleby we saw last season, only with better defensive awareness and really good defensive footwork. It appears working with Powell has helped him on that end of the court. But that shot. Oy vey

If he were Ben Simmons he’d have good reason for his hesitation. Unfortunately he is not Ben Simmons nor does he have the hesitancy.

his defensive tools are legit, but yeah that shot needs a complete overhaul. A slow and low release like that is never gonna work in the NBA. Nas had an ugly looking shot until he smoothed it out last season, so I guess there’s still hope, but I wouldn’t mind if they cut him or threw him into a trade either.

Honestly the only guy that’s truly impressed me has been Brown. I don’t think he’ll play as a rookie but I can see a scenario where he’s forced to play and holding his own.

Vets playing well against a bunch of youngins isn’t that impressive, and neither Beasley or Faried have stood out as much as they should. I think Mudiay has actually looked the best out of the three, but I’m not rushing to sign him either.

Totally agree Faried and Beasley should be dominating summer league. The very fact they aren’t is kind of telling the story.
