Total tangent; I'm listening to this podcast about the Beirut explosion and they keep on saying "in hospital", "out of hospital", or "at hospital", ect. instead of as Lanny does in the thread title "out of the hospital". I know it's just an english language thing, but are Americans the only people that say it that way (correctly)?
