Disagree slightly, Westbrook gives almost zero effort on defense he’s more interested in getting rebounds and going back o the offensive end. Lillard while not a good defender he still gives effort, always surprised with his basketball instincts he doesn’t get more steals.

Because of Westbrook’s athleticism I think he could be a much better defender than Lillard

I have no idea why we would possibly want Dray over Simmons. That makes no sense. Simmons is younger and far far more athletic and bigger and just as skilled if not more skilled. Like I've said before the only thing Dray has that Simmons doesn't is a really inconsistent jumper.

My theory based on nothing is that GS views Simmons as a souped-up and younger Draymon.

I agree with that assessment. We have the main piece in all of these theoretical deals and I just have no idea why we would involve the Warriors. We should be able to pry Simmons away from Philly with CJ, DJJ and the right amount of draft considerations. If the Sixers are waiting for Dame, I don't think involving the Warriors makes the deal work and if they're not we should be able to get it done on our own.

Depends if Simmons wants to come here. Also, I would tend to think Dame would want Dray over Simmons. I would rather have Simmons too. But, Dray would probably save us from.having to send out 1st round picks too.

The key piece you're missing is that in order to be a Blazer fan you must irrationally hate all things l*kers.

Though, to be honest... its all rational.

Can’t give props on the moves because they weren’t good moves. Like I’ve said, if Westbrook gets injured, then they have a shot.

I'd cry every day too, if I threw away the millions of future earnings like he did.

Fucking racist getting exactly what he deserves... Worthless in the NBA and now in real life... I'm so glad he is NOT on my favorite team anymore...

You know what's funny to me? If he really cared about making amends and this wasn't just a PR campaign to try to get him back in the league, he would be doing this shit without letting the news crews know he was doing it. I remember Brian Grant did A TON of community service that nobody even knew about.

Bingo. Not saying he isn't remorseful, but true charity (etc) is done without press.

So that we have some sort of context to your opinion, if the Lakers’ moves weren’t good moves, how do you feel about your Blazers’ moves?

Is he really doing that community a service if he's teaching their kids to be soft, not play D, and suck at rebounding?

    Take your ass home Butters!

People like Dennis Rodman who donated and did a lot for charities got overlooked because of his persona. He was villainized and rightfully so did stupid shit. But, if some of his charity stufd was more known back in the day, it may have helped his reputation.

According to this survey of people round the league, the Westbrook trade was a GREAT move

    ...for Washington.

    upload_2021-8-19_12-54-2.png

    Not so great for LA:

    upload_2021-8-19_12-54-50.png

Of course, the same survey has the Lakers best in the West, but still.
