So should he have said big kids? big children? big males? What is your preferred phrasing for the alternative to adolescent men?
lol wut. legitimately has me laughing how you derailed your own thread with this stuff. You think @calvin natt has to change his mindset because he harmlessly used "boys" with no racial context whatsoever, but you are constantly undermining a guy for seeing a psychologist, and then telling a fellow poster to "eat dicks?" isn't that homophobic? what?
If I tell: "Hey, boys, who wants a pint?!" in any pub in London, you would be probably the only one offended. Just sayin
Also the age of players in the NBA seems to invite the term a bit. 19-21 year old young men in many instances called "boys". Someone might say it with absolutely no intention other than to say they were young. I agree with him in a way though. Full stop might be best. I probably will not use the term after reading it that way.
The guy who needs to see a psychologist because he can't shoot is not the one I want on my team. Not calling black men boys is apparently a hard thing for some people... I don't ever use the term "white boy" because I know I don't want to be called boy... It's not that hard. Homophobic... What a huge reach. GTFO with that.
That's rich. You want someone to basically stop using the word boy across the board because it has been used as a racial attack, but someone tells you that saying "eat a bag of dicks" is homophobic and you say to "GTFO with that." El oh el.
Eat a dick literally means fuck you. So If I said fuck you to a man am I being homophobic? This is stupid...
This is why you and I will never see eye to eye. You demand that people immediately conform to your wishes and your view on the world, but when someone tells you that you're being offensive, you tell them to pound sand.
No that's bullshit. I was called homophobic. Not offensive. There's a difference. You can pound sand calling me homophobic.
I'm going to throw one of your favorite phrases at you because it hilariously applies here. Cognitive dissonance.
I just want to point out that you literally said that "we had to die to be called 'man' in this country..." in response to someone using the term "big boys" in a completely innocuous sentence.
Yeah you calling me/us racist for typing a word “boy” totally in an innocent context is somehow legit but eating dicks is fine. Got it.
I NEVER ONCE said that to you nor did I insinuate it. And now you're really saying some dumb shit. Internalize much??? I just said you shouldn't say that and I told you why.
Yes yeah you did insinuate it by flipping out over my use of “big boys”. That saying it is racist. And that I said it. Soooooo 2+2=4. Not internalizing shit. This is your schtick I get it
You aren't that dense I know. You must've been called racist before for you to respond that way. I simply said full stop on calling black men boys. I told you that it doesn't matter the context because it's not a good thing to do. Now you're arguing about it... Now, go call a black man a boy to his his face and see why I told you that you shouldn't. And you should know me by now, I don't insinuate someone is racist. I call them out.
