I don't know, but you know who should probably tell dviss how he, as a black man, should feel about things, or how other black people feel about stuff?

A white guy living in Tennessee.

Hey, so, I'm in the minority in here. I can take it, despite your mini-scoldings. LOL

When individually addressed, I respond how I respond. Thanks just the same, coach.

    Changing subject again.

Both Elder and Owens support the big lie of stolen election. The seniors taking selfies on January 6 is a direct quote from Owens. Elder wrote in a badly written book that companies should be allowed to fire pregnant employees because they cost too much; in fact they should be able to legally ask female applicants if they plan to become pregnant in the future and if so refuse to hire them. These can all be easily verified. I realize you can admire someone without agreeing with everything they say but you have refused repeated requests to say what you admire about those two, changing subject each time.

Arrogant and condescending? Got it. And what does minstrel have to do with anything here? Look, I have opposing views of most in here...and the ranks kinda like to lock arms a bit. Let's just leave it at that,

I think you might want to look up with "arrogant and condescending" in the dictionary, because almost every one of your posts drips in it.

And the point of bringing up Minstrel was that like you, I don't know him. But what I do know about him is that he's clearly very intelligent. He's smarter than you are or I am, but he doesn't come off as sounding like he's better than us, or smug like you do.

It's so funny how you say "I'm not racist" and then post something that is racism 101, and then you say "I'm not smug/condescending" and then follow that up by saying shit that is so patronizing.

You ever wonder why almost every single post you make on here turns into an argument? Not a debate, but an argument??

My question was, why were you specifically bringing up minstrel?

I'm not a racist. Please show me where you think I am.

Many/most in here absolutely hate many of the values I have. There's your clue.

Nope, she's calling me out to comment on assertions she's made. I simply asked her to provide documentation. Per her request, I recently provided further documentation regarding a post I had made. I was simply asking her for the same courtesy. She didn't do that so I simply said no comment.

the worst part is when you say you're not something (racist, sexist, etc) by referencing the exact things that someone who is that, would do.

"I'm not sexist, and the proof of that is that I totally love and support this person that has sexist values"

To be a black man in this nation you have to have the best anger management of anyone in this country...

402 years of this shit and we never stormed the capital. The people you support stormed the capital for the exact opposite reason...
THOSE are the angry ones... Figure that shit out..

Never tell anyone how to respond to oppression you will never feel.

could you imagine the shit storm that would've happened HAD the people who stormed the capitol/senate etc, been a predominantly black/minority group??

Oh my god, there would've been carnage.

It's why we haven't done it... Do you see the difference in police response to any leftist protest?

Right wing haters get police escorts into downtown Portland, they terrorize people, then leave back to their enclave of hate where their racism can fester... It's going to get worse before it gets better and folks like ABM are itching for it to happen...

See how crazy they got after the Census results?

Yep. Right wingers get high fives, and confirmations from the police, get asked if they're "ok" when they get taken down and arrested.

The guy who FIRED A GUN the other day was *released*.

Selling stolen cigs? Choked out and killed.

Allegedly passing phony bills (whether or not he did it isn't the point)? choked out and killed.

Someone who drove from *another* state and killed a protester? not killed and made into a folk hero by the right.

People are just desperate to find any reason to hang one of them "******'s" from a tree.

OK, I apologize to you for calling you an angry know-it-all. I've just seen a number of your posts in here, in many threads, regarding various subjects and conversations. Nonetheless, I generalized, and I don't like it when people do that as it relates to me.

Now then, I've posted in here numerous times, that I absolutely disagreed with that whole Jan. 6th travesty/tragedy. I moved on from Trump soon after the election. Would not vote for him again.

You'll have to explain to me the "self-hating" aspects of Sowell, Booker T. Washington, Elder, et al. I mean, I'm convinced there are millions of Black folks who believe the same. That said, I'm a Conservative, and this issue appears to fall down political lines. True? No? Then there's the Woodson Center that I've cited in here a number of times. I financially support this organization because I believe in their mission. Do you have issues with them and/or their mission?

    https://woodsoncenter.org/

Also, I really enjoyed this documentary. You may bash it, but it does allude to many positive things going on in the Black community.

You know this wasn't the first time right wing white men stormed DC. Not nearly.. and I'm not talking about the KKK marches that have taken place there. Back in 1848 when Polk was president, some 77 slaves tried to escape via a ship called the Pearl on the Potomac. They escaped in the night and hid beneath the deck of the ship with the help of its captains. The ship slowly made its way up the Potomac. They thought they had made it. But, the slave owners realized the slaves had escape and put together a posse. They commandeered a steamship and overtook the pearl.

They imprisoned the captains and moved the slaves further south to keep them from escaping again.

Afterwards mobs of these pro slave white men rioted in DC because they were afraid of losing their social order.

Polk and those in charge were able to stop the riots. While Polk ordered that no federal workers were to take part in the riot or they would be prosecuted, it seems the riots were ended because Polk and those he sent to stop it were able to appeal to these men's inclinations.

But, we shouldn't be teaching our kids about moments in history like this though according to Owen's and others on the right.
