Live from '94-'18 in Aurora. '18-'19 Northglenn. Just moved back to Colorado(Lakewood) in May, after a 2 & 1/2 yr. stay in Eugene/Springfield. Hoping to get back to Portland once my financials are in good shape. Fingers crossed. Delivered/pickup in Colorado Springs in the Spring of '15. I love Manitou Springs.

Alright! You guys are giving me some good ideas for next month’s road trip. I actually was tentatively planning to stay in Manitou Springs on my way back west. Is Leadville worth checking out? Along with that general area? Inquiring minds want to know…….

Leadville is a quirky little town at over 10 thousand ft. Mt. Massive, & Mt. Elbert (14ers), rise to the west. Good fishing near there. Take Independence Pass to Aspen. Serious drop offs with no guardrails, but worth the ride.

In Summit County, 70 miles west of Denver visit the quad mountain towns of Dillon, Silverthorne, Frisco, & Breckenridge. They surround Dillon Reservoir and 14ers tower over you in multiple locations.

September can bring snow, but nothing major, and most days in September, or any month for that matter, are sunny. Sunglasses a must.

Glenwood Springs, farther west is another fun place to visit. Nice people too. Visit Doc Holidays Grave there. Aspen & Vail are filled with stand offish rich people. I used to deliver custom windows and door systems all through the Colorado Mountains. Vail & Aspen were my least favorites. If you get a chance go to Estes Park. My favorite Mt. Town. Lots to do, and next to Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park.

September is a perfect month to visit. The leaves are starting to really peak, color wise, Middle to late in the month. Bring a warm coat for the cooler nights in the mountain towns. Denver is still hot in September, 90's potentially most of month. But an hour west in the mountains, and it's 60's. With 30's potential at night.

Exactly why I’m going the end of September…..autumn in the mountains. Too, other than my fellow retirees (and foreign tourists) everyone else is back in school or at work……or at least what passes for such these days…….I appreciate all the suggestions!

nope. BUt drove up there several times. Had a roomate that would enter the annual pike peak run though. He was wild. He would bartend double shifts in the winter and snowboard aNd he would set up his tent in his bedroom. He would still pay rent but take off in the summertime aNd hike the continental divide. He was a unique person.

Philadelphia has its eyes set on Portland All-NBA guard Damian Lillard, sources say, but the Trail Blazers have fully focused on continuing to build around Lillard. As of now, Lillard is continuing to evaluate the Trail Blazers’ present and future and is slated to begin training camp with the organization. In some ways, the 76ers are stuck between deciding whether to make a move now with Simmons — or waiting until a star like Lillard shakes free.

I really think Morey is dropping the ball on this one. I'm not even convinced we would want to trade Dame to Philly. Also, it's not like things with Simmons are tenable right now. His house is on fire and he's sitting on the front lawn reading about his penny stocks.

We'll see. I think in a month if Simmons is sitting out training camp and therefore lowering his trade value more than Doc and Embiid already did, then your analogy will be correct but if Morey pulls off a deal before training camp, having waited to see what the very best he can get is before further damage is done, then he's not been stupid.

Morey can wait till Hell freezes over. But his ass will feel like he's in Hell, if he doesn't trade Mr. Nightlife. At this point i don't see him even getting a talent as good as CJ in return. Morey will end up feeling what it's like to be Houston, with the Harden Sitch. Receiving back decent talent & future draft picks. But nothing to help Embiid get any closer to a ring.

If he's truly waiting on Dame, then he's a moron. We aren't trading Dame before the season. Hell, we might not trade him until next offseason if he decides he wants out. I don't think the Simmons situation can wait a year.

Yeah, there's no way that Dame is moved until the deadline at the earliest and by then I think Simmons' value will have tanked so much that there would be no package they could put together around him that is worthy of Dame... I actually don't think there's really a good package from the Sixers for Dame right now unless we're planning on a complete blowup and rebuild.
