One does not celebrate Yom Kippur. It is the Day of Atonement and not a celebration. I cringe when we'll meaning people wish me a happy Yom Kippur.
My wife makes delicious Korean sushi. It has the same rice paper and rice but different ingredients in the center. She uses sun dried squid that is then dry soaked and a sligjhtly spicy red sauce and Napa cabbage kimchee. Perfect picnic food when we pick a wild asparagus relative in the deep woods. Goes great with water or soft drink. I used to be very good with chopsticks but now a side effect tremor from a heart medication overlays a natural tremor and I can no longer use chopsticks. Have trouble typing as well but get by.
Making spaghetti on this glorious day. With smoked homemade marinara sauce and smoked meatballs from scratch
Made big pot of chili. Loads of prep, seed and toast anchors, grind with long list of spices, brown onion, then garlic, meat, add spices and minced chipotle, soaked cooked pinto, process tomatoes to puree. Actual cooking easy, in slow oven. Why is low heat a slow oven but high heat not called fast oven?
I have never personally chased an oven, so I can’t attest to the relative speed capabilities of hot and cold ones.
I dunno why those pictures show up so huge, but sorry. I fail every other time I try to load them on here.
