It will be about 38M because he has a trade bonus of 15% but that being said... I don't think that he ever said anything about only this team or that team or a specific state. He's tight with KAT and DLo in Minny, if that could work I'm sure he'd choose them. I'm sure if he gets a chance to play with Dame, he'll be excited since Dame is probably the most popular player league among the players in the league. I'm betting he just doesn't want to hear Doc's raspy yelling or Embiid's corny jokes that were probably constantly at his expense anymore and will be cool wherever.

All I know is Simmons missed the 2020 playoffs due to injury and the Sixers got swept in first round. When Embiid was hurt in Simmons rookie year, Simmons led them on 16 game win streak. Simmons is the Sixers’ best player and would be a great addition to Blazers. Hawks series was rough for Simmons but that happens to a lot of players. He’ll bounce back.

Having a rough series physically is one thing. Having a complete meltdown where their “best player” does not attempt a shot in the final five minutes of several games in one series and won’t shoot a layup is another. Oh and the FTs. And he’s not very coachable thus far in his career. Maybe that will all change.

All valid concerns. Is there any other way to add that much talent to this team by giving up CJ and change? I can't think of a way.

Does Dame want it to happen?

If "no" followed by "yes", I'm pulling the trigger.

I'm pretty sure Dame wouldn't be in favor, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not the best thing for the team.

The more I think about it, though, the less I think it is. I'd be willing to trade Dame for a Simmons package IF Dame wanted out, because that's PG for PG, but playing Dame and Simmons together? I think that takes away from both of them. Simmons needs to be used like Jason Kidd was on the Nets, and Dame is way too good to be Kerry Kittles.

Now, if Simmons would come in prepared to be our Iguodala (also a guy who could do everything but shoot that the Sixers traded), then sure. But everything in this whole saga tells me there's no way he'd be happy with that. (Also: the Warriors got Iggy without trading Klay.)

Guess which team he's going to end up on, then add in the comments what the best player the Sixers will get for him will be.

Personally, I honestly have no idea. Apparently Minnesota is the one team really gunning for him, but they're not prepared to give anyone up for him! It would be hilarious if Morey just dug in and he sat out the season.

I think Sac will be willing to offer up Haliburton, and Morey will eventually accept a Kings deal.

Do you think they'd be better off offering Fox? I do - I think he flatters to deceive, and putting that much money into TWO flawed PGs would handicap the Kings later on.

It's really in Simmons' best interest to drive down his trade value as much as possible. His income is already set in stone--all he's worrying about is how many assets the team he goes to has to give away for his services.

The less he's traded for, the more he has to work with on his new team. Also, the less he's worth, the more good teams are going to be able to compete for him.

A guy in his shoes really should be as much of a dickhead as possible. Taking it on the chin in the media for a few weeks beats the hell out of playing in Cleveland with a bunch of scrubs for the next three years.

We have seen that CJ is more effective in games Dame is not playing - so this is a problem the Blazers already have where they sacrifice the optimum efficiency of one of the players for another. If this happens - they need to run Dame for 32 as PG with BS as the PG in the other 16 minutes, and when they play together, BS is either the pick man to play with Dame in a pick and roll (which would be devastating for the other team) or have Dame run off the ball for a little as he does with CJ.

It's basically an optimized way of how the Blazers should be playing Dame and CJ (with upgraded Defense and another target for pick and roll which Dame excels in).

    GSW

For something like Draymond, Wiseman, and a couple picks.

    For Simmons they would.

They would try to get Philly to take Wiggins 1st though probably

Forgot about Pacers. I'm sure they've already offered this:

    upload_2021-9-1_10-36-32.png

...and the Sixers have asked for Sabonis/Turner instead of Lamb. Maybe they'll end up with Brogdon + LeVert as a compromise

But that's wasting Simmons' talents! He's basically pointless (double pun) on offense unless he's got the ball. Unless Dame is prepared to do a Kyrie (who switched to SG to give the ball to Harden), it wouldn't work. Now, if Simmons could shoot at all, it would be a different matter.

I'm a lot less foaming at the mouth to get Simmons since we got Nance. I know that's silly: Simmons is all-NBA and Nance will never sniff an all-star team (and probably won't start), but really, Nance does a lot of things Simmons does (he's even a surprisingly good passer and ball-handler) PLUS he can hit the odd three.

That's a dangerous game, given how stubborn Morey is.
