IMHO, the facts that Philly wants to win now and that you’re crazy are not mutually exclusive.

Unless he knows it is someone else Portland is trying to trade; like Roco and Powell (who can be traded in November, right?)

    You were saying....

The Warriors were among the teams Daryl Morey called during his initial round of over-the-top inquiries. That came before the draft. As has been reported, he asked for a package of Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman, the seventh and 14th picks and two future first-rounders. There was never bargaining. There was only a decline and a hang up.

really? How about the Nuggets score 20 points in 35 minutes due to Simmons defense. Basketball has two sides of the floor. Lillards incandescent offensive genius lifted us. Denver outscored us by 50 points in 35 minutes, Precisely because our defense was a dumpster fire. The problem wasn't lack of scoring it was our inability to stop anyone from scoring.

The hate is strong in this one.
You actually think Neil Olshey has never done anything in his life? "Once in your life" seems like you think he is sitting on a corner with a sign asking for money.

Trading CJ for Simmons is a no brainer for me.

    1) That includes 3 pieces that you didn’t mention originally. You mentioned Kuminga, Moody and Wiseman. Not Wiggins and 2 additional first round picks. Mainly the 2 picks.

    2) If Morey could get that, sure, I’ll eat crow. Clearly he won’t since he was laughed off the phone.

    3) You clearly think Simmons has higher value than I, or most other people, believe he has. Maybe this is why we disagree. Young asset wise, I doubt they’d give up all 3 of Kuminga, Moody and Wiseman. And even if they did, assuming CJ was on the table, that would be a very questionable trade for winning a championship *right now*. Then assume you traded for those 3 and Dame wants out. Kuminga, Moody and Wiseman may not be rated highly by the Blazers. But maybe the Blazrrs want Simmons so they go to the Warriors now. Or maybe the knicks. And then next thing you know the 76ers are holding their dick in their hand and Embiid is demanding a trade and then boom, Embiid is a blazer with Dame. ;)

Anyway, I rate it as CJ-caliber player or 2-3 young assets. I know which Embiid wants.

Neil Olshey would be stupid to trade Dame

but if I learned that we traded Dame for jalen Suggs, franz Wagner, Jonathan Isaac, mo bamba and 4 picks id be pretty ok with that

point being let’s operate in reality where morey isn’t getting pipe dream trades

I think we should try to help Sacramento and walk away with Davion Mitchell and Harrison Barnes. Mitchell is a pit bull that is the perfect complement to Dame/Ant. We haven’t had a backcourt defender like him since I can remember.

    Lillard/Mitchell
    Powell/Ant
    Barnes/Nas
    Roco/Nance
    Nurk/Zeller

Loads of defense and versatility. Shot creation and isolation outside of dame would end up being our weakness (ironically), but if the chemistry connected and we had a few lucky breaks, I think that’s a championship contender with clearly defined roles.

Interesting to see the Wolves and Kings elevated over the Warriors.

They're talking themselves into CJ on the Sixers realgm forum. Morey just needs to get on board now.
