He didn't say that shit. The most recent rumor is that he said he would play anywhere besides Philly. They're all rumors but I'll choose to believe the one where he's not being unreasonable.

HE NEVER SAID THAT! It was a bs rumor from a bay area moron repeated by the lazy modern clickbait media. In fact, Chris Broussard said a reliable source said Ben wanted to go “ANYWHERE but back to Philadelphia”. This CA team thing was bullshit come up with by a Bay Area guy playing upon well work tropes that NBA guys only want to play in NY and CA. And the CA thing meant Only GSW because the LA teams would have to gut their core to match salaries. Its bullshit. Period.

Im sorry, but this can’t be right. I'm told all day every day he's an offensive liability. This is clearly doctored video and official NBA stats. Likely Russian hackers.

Was this posted yet? Sam Mitchell is on our side!

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/fadeaw...um-for-ben-simmons-id-do-that-in-a-heart-beat

"If you can get CJ McCollum for Ben Simmons, I’d do that in a heartbeat,” said Sam. "Since the day he walked into the NBA out of college, he’s been a productive player… Think about what people think of CJ McCollum. The players elected him president of the players’ association.”

There's the rub. He can't control where he is traded, but he can control how well, or if, he plays. He can follow the Butler approach and there isn't a bloody thing we can do to stop him.

I'm not a big fan of CJ - but he is good enough I don't want to trade him for someone who will be a headcase or malcontent.

Really? Which is more consistent with a guy who cut off all communication with his team and is forcing a trade because he got his feelings hurt?

There is no rub. I heard Ben Simmons will only play for Minnesota so if he’s not traded there he wont play. See how that works? You make up bullshit and then pretend it’s fact, but its not.

In obvious (or perhaps not in some cases) reference to Neil's own words of 'Moving the Needle". Going on 10 years and that hasn't happened yet.....so yes, Go!

does that -8 wins projected not give you pause? And I don't think it works #s wise.

It does work. look at the money. Also, trademachine wins/losses??? :smiley-hmm:

You think having CJ is gonna get us more wins than a balanced roster and Draymond? I don't...

    You wouldn't be excited about:

    Dame
    Powell
    Roco
    Draymond
    Nurk

    That certainly moves my needle!

This any better? I never really pay attention to the projected wins/losses. I think this trade makes us better.

Yeah, I would not pay too much attention to these +/- wins TM predictions. I would say that in the Draymond vs. Ben Simmons argument - I would say that The floor of replacing CJ with Green is higher but the ceiling of replacing CJ with Simmons is higher.

The interesting part of this videos, for me, were the cases where Simmons was setting the pick for another ball handler (in this video, Harris). He is vicious as a roll person - and when they tried to rotate multiple players on him on the roll his vision was so good - that he was able to send a great pass to Harris who continued to move to a pretty much uncontested attempt. Now imagine the same stuff with an elite pick and roll guy like Dame instead of Harris. Oof.

I agree the ceiling is higher.

But... When has Simmons been called a QB on Defense? Is he going to be as good a defender without Embiid?

I personally think our defense will be better with Green. :dunno:
