Do we officially know which players will be affected by this?

They won't release an official list because of hippa. They can't say who is and isn't vaccinated but we'll find out when they're sitting every game. I would bet that very few players will stay unvaxed even if they're anti vaxxers. Kyrie and others aren't going to want to miss their home games, especially in the playoffs. I doubt they'll get one of the mrna vaccines but maybe J&J?

Is there anyway the Blazers could acquire Green, if ownership said, fuck the tax, lets go for it, without touching their current starting lineup to do the deal, if Simmons is traded to Golden State?

This really IS a Super Team, and Fuck Detroit for helping them even more with cap savings. The current system is totally slanted to favoring the large markets. I'm gonna boycott every Nyet/Faker broadcast except when they play us. But i know, it won't freakin' mean a thing. Luxury Tax is a scam.

I'm pretty sure you would have to "claim" him which does not involve any negotiations. It's my understanding that you have to pay the waived salary... maybe I'm wrong. I do know that if two teams claim him that the team lower in the standings gets him.

    I bid nothing.

We WANT the Lakers to sign him! Less time for Marc Gasol, who is actually good, or Anthony Davis at the 5, which is his most devastating position.

I believe there needs to be some limit to how many bought out players ANY team can have this is getting kind of silly and I would be saying this if it was another team and not the Lakers. I never want to wish injuries on a team but part of me wants to see a HUGE string of minor injuries to this team - Minor ankle sprains , knee sprain etc nothing major but something to hit that team.

    HATE the Lakers

this is ruining the nba, but the players union would never allow change. How do you distribute talented players "equally"? Increase cap in small market teams? But how do you define a small market team?? Impose taxes on these joke buyouts?

LOL, a washed up Deandre Jordan going to the Lakers, to clog their C rotation, alongside Dwight and Gasol, while realizing AD is best at the 5 is ruining the NBA? Come on.

Old teams need depth. Like I said before, their 3rd string center is better than whoever our backup is.

That's fine. My point is signing a washed up C for depth isn't ruining the NBA. The same way people were flipping out last year when Andre Drummond signed there, and then everyone came to the realization that he's shit. And didn't play. But as a buyout candidate mid-season, it was so unfair how the Lakers got him.

if I'm reading it right, Lakers have 8 guys signed for the minimum. Jordan would make it 9. I wonder if that's a record?
