250 miles is nothing...I live over 300 miles from Moda and santesioux is clear down in Klamath Falls...that's local....what ever teams are broadcast locally are in your region....beyond that it's just a choice.

Don't worry, the Seagulls will fall back out of relevance as soon as Russell Wilson is done.

Go Seahawks!!!

I hate the Seahawks. I especially hate having them on the tube here every fucking week. I live 250 miles from that team. I'm not in their damn market
You can pick your friends but you are stuck with your relatives! The TailHawks

It was considered Niners territory before the seabirds were given a franchise (I do say franchise because it took decades for them to field a team).

Raiders too. Raiders and Niners were on tv.

Boooooo Seahawks. I went to a game in Seattle against the Raiders when I was like 10 with my dad. Wore a Tim Brown jersey. Seahawk fans made ahole comments to me. They were all drunk, but come on. I was a kid rooting for my team.

Not a fan of Seattle or Seattle teams anyways. I did like Griffey as a kid.

I don't count the Raiders, given all the relocating they've done. I left them out for a reason. But it's also like baseball. SF and Oakland were the regional teams until the M's came in during the late-70's (don't get me started on that franchise - unlike the c-birds, I want to like the M's, but they haven't done much to endear themselves to the fans).

Could you imagine the Blazers not making the playoffs for 21 years. That team has been a joke way to long.

percentage of teams in the playoffs is different though...

MLB: 10 of 30 teams (33%) and two of those teams only play 1 game

NFL: used to be 12 of 32 teams (37.5%); NFL increased it last season to 14 out of 32 teams (43.75%) with 6 being wild cards

NBA: 16 of 30 teams make the playoffs (53.3%)

I get that but 21 years?
How many other teams have missed playoffs for 21 years straight?

It's technically only 19 seasons, 20 if they don't make it this year. But who's counting?

The problem is management was comfortable letting stars be the draw and not overly concerned about the final product. Junior, Ichiro, Felix, Martinez....

The did have some nice seasons in the early-2000's, to be fair. That 2001 season was pretty phenomenal.

I'm actually much happier with them being in Vegas than Oakland.

I will never understand how people can selectively hate some teams from a city and love others.

If you hate the Huskies and/or Sounders, and you hated the Sonics, why would you then turn around and love the Seahawks or Mariners? Makes no logical sense.

I definitely don't like the Seattle teams. Just the Mariners with Griffey as a kid. I don't care for baseball other than Oregon State since I went there when they won the back to back titles.

But, I mean I dislike the Ducks, but love the Beavers and Blazers.

College rivalries within your own state is different. I'm talking about people from Portland liking teams from Washington (unless they went to school there)

I'm a Mariners fan since birth but couldn't give a shit less about any other Washington team. Oregon doesn't have an NFL or MLB team. I think you are over complicating it. How come my brother loves the Red Sox but hates the Patriots? I have no idea, but he does.
