No one funnier. Norm died of cancer, but, as Norm said of battling cancer, he didn’t lose his battle with cancer, it was a draw because when he died the cancer died too. Absolutely brutal loss. Norm didn’t give two fucks about what he said, and said that an audience laughing meant more than them clapping because laughing is involuntary. People laughing was great, but people not laughing is funny too because it’s unexpected. At an open mic night a bazillion years ago I got a note after my set that said “I liked that Baywatch joke” signed by Norm Macdonald. I never saw him or spoke to him, but apparently he saw that and made me so happy to think Norm thought I was funny.
