Not many of you have mentioned the great Gale Sayers. His record for seven rushing touchdowns is just simply amazing.

Emmitt Smith, all time rushing leader. However, if Barry Sanders didn't have that early retirement he would of had more than that. So I think I have to say Barry Sanders. Other names: OJ Simpson, Jim Brown, Gale Sayers, Walter Payton, Eric Dickerson, Marcus Allen, Franco Harris, Tony Dorsett, John Riggins, Earl Campbell.

I'm going to have to go with Barry Sanders, he was just a great all arounf RB, he could do anything. Walter also comes second on my list too. It's a shame he had to retire early, he was quite the player.

Walter is the best and Emmit second. I love Barry Sanders and I would give him second if he would have stood and pasted Payton.

Jim Brown and Sweetness are tied for the best running back ever IMO. Barry Sanders was quick and elusive but so was Brown, and Jim Brown could also bulldoze through guys as easily as a linebacker.

This is impossible to say. Comparing RB's from different eras is extremely difficult. I'd say Sweetness if I had to choose.

Has anyone noticed that Priest does the endzone leap almost as good as Walter used to do it?
