Thanks Step. Well you know Tinordi will get into a fight. Rempe I hear has been mixing it up. Glad Nils is playing. Jones can't be on this team. Nils has to make the team. He has the shot our PP has been lacking forever. We'll see about Kravtsov. I'm not as high on him as others. I said Lafreniere had to pick up a step on his skating and he looked like he did that. I also like the line they put him on. I think you will see him play much more nasty this season. Especially with Reeves there to get more players to play brave.

 

I saw the other day Reaves was teaching Kravtsov how to fight. Maybe young guys will play more with an edge this year with him and Tinordi on the team.

 

Messier as tough as he was basically said that. You need a guy like Kocur or Reeves. Even today when you have really skilled players. Especially young guys. If you can't win with 3 lines, 6 solid d, a good goalie and a 4th line that hits a little and protects a team than you shouldn't win a cup. Your 4th line should not be the difference. A good 4th line is important but it will not win you a cup. Tampa isn't winning shit without their top 3 lines and their top 4 defenseman but especially their goalie. The Islanders have relied on their 4th line too much IMO. That can't be what you rely on to win games.

 

They said Laf trimmed down but got leaner and Kakko bulked up a bit.

 

So far Nemeth is responsible for both goals against and looks like a bumbling fucking idiot
