It's will be interesting to see how he shares the ball with players like Branch/Graham/Givens and then he needs to include youngsters Sam/Watson and Johnson..not to mention David Terrell.
Actually, he only really puts up mediocre numbers, but he gets the wins.But the key thing you are missing is a new offensive coordinator. And the reason that that is that big a deal is because the past few years the Patriots have relied on excellent playcalling and gameplanning, and then good execution of the game plan. The offensive coordinator is directly responseable for the gameplanning and playcalling and with a change, even if they are planning the same ideas, it will not be done the same, and probably not as well.Not to mention the defense will probably struggle without Crennell, Law, Bruschi, and Johnson. And with the defense on the field more often, the offense will have less plays and less opportunities to do whats needed, nevermind build up stats.PS: Its the exact same staff as last year except subtract David Patten and add David Terrell(proven bust) and Tim Dwight who is only going to be a returner probably.
Now it's not. They have Ben Watson, Terrell who is not a proven bust, Sam who was hurt, Branch who was hurt. There getting people back. I think they will do fine on defense, they got Seymour back and Johnson wouldn't have started anyways. We still have Chad Brown and Mike Vrabel who is going to play the inside, and Mcginest and Colvin on the outside. Law isn't anything to miss because we won without him, we had Randall Gay carry us and now we got Chad Scott, Duane Starks, Ellis Hobbs and a returning Tyrone Poole to back him up and help him out. The Offensive coordinator might be a issue but I don't think it will, the Pats looked great in traning camp with all RB and WR drills. I'm dying to see them play against the Bengals this friday, it will be interesting.
I think the Pat's have a chance of winning the Super Bowl again and Brady will or might have better numbers but these are new people so you never know

Last time I checked, Brady and the Pats have a FEW more rings than Chad and the Jets. That's the only stat that matters.
pats chances of winning a superbowl this year are a little lower, cuz they kida had a rough offseason, im not sayin they have no change of winning though

No I'm not saying that, I'm saying there offseason didn't hurt them that much and you disagree. I think they could win the superbowl but the same is told for 31 other teams.

I view it as there is about 4 serious contenders in the AFC (Jets/Patriots/Colts/Steelers) and then about 6 pretenders (Chargers/Ravens/Jaguars/Bills/Chiefs/Broncos) and then a lot of pretenders.And I dont see Brady's numbers being about what they usually are 3500 yds, ect.
I would put the Ravens as contenders and the Pats or Steelers as pretenders if there can be only 4 teams.
Ok as far as the superbowl is concerened, its gonna be tough. The teams in the NFL have changed a fair bit. BUT with the patriots i wouldn't be surprised if they do make it again. And yes some players have left in the off season but with the morale that the team has produced in the past 4 years, your gonna have new guys who are going to love playing for a team that walks away with wins. Now before anyone critices me, New Englan might not walk away with the wins they had last season but they will make it to the playoffs. Superbowl? I honestly don't know. But if they do make it to the big one again, and i'm not saying this coz i'm a St. Louis fan, but I hope its between these two because these are two teams with new potential and experienced players.
