You have to factor in what the replacements did last season to make the deduction( Just looked that word up) that we will be better without them.

Well, if one team scores 103 points and the other scores 109, those are numbers. And you can measure the impact a player has on the outcome of the game...so, yeah. By using the standards that people judge a players worth and whether or not a team won or lost is "metrics and numbers".

There's an old guy who holds the Guinness Book of Records record for number of FTs without a miss. He does it the old underhand, two-handed way. This is like saying "we'll miss that guy's free-throws". Yeah, in theory, but... you can't really play him because of the being-an-old-guy thing.

the team last year WITHOUT HIM was better than WITH HIM. His biggest, and most noticeable negative impact on the game he (and kanter) had was on the defensive end.

    Defense wins championships.

I know you have NO street cred to be concerned about losing, but I'm just trying to give you one last chance to back out.

Nassir, in his inconsistent minutes and role, had worse #'s. But that had more to do with his lack of experience instead of 18 years of playing that way.

LET'S GO ANALYTICS GUY. Step up. I'm quite sure Nas and Zeller will NOT be in a tight 2 point game with a few minutes left to find out. Or in Zeller's case be healthy enough to play that night at all.

We don't know what Little will provide for the team, yet we do know what Melo brought.

We also don't know what Zeller brings to the game, yet we do know what Kanter brings.

Zeller's RPM was better, albeit marginally, than Kanter. both Kanters ORPM and DRPM were negative....

We don't know how Nassir will be at that point. But he's not a starter, nor is Melo. Neither one is someone I'd be hanging my hopes on in a tight 2 point game (esp with Melos crap defense).

Melo is gone. His #'s were negative overall, and he was a black hole on offense. Nassir showed a lot last year, and since it's not like if they kept Melo the team would be winning any titles with him, I'm 100% fine with him being gone. And since his defense sucked ass, I'm especially fine with him being gone.

Yes, Melo and Kanter being off the team is better for the team as a collective whole.

I don't understand the Melo/Kanter v Zeller/Nas argument when this roster has Larry Nance Jr. on it. Nance, since he plays the 4 and 5 seems to be a major factor in if we will or won't miss having Enes and Melo. I think that Enes was a rebounding specialist and Zeller is just a better all around ball player and while Nance won't get us the points in bunches that Melo could, I'd rather have Nance in the game. I also hope that Nas has a greater impact on this team's success than DJJ did last season.

What I'm really hoping for is that we have Simmons instead of CJ in the starting lineup and lets say a couple less future draft picks.

No, I understood it. I just don't think you understand that it's not just a case of Cog out, Cog in.

Nance is a better defensive player than Melo and Kanter. He's a more willing passer/facilitator than Melo is. Expanding the role for players who are better defensively, and are better for the system, will be better for the team.

Fair enough. Do you really think Nance is a downgrade?

Seriously my man - your valiant attempts to equate Melo with Kanter in this discussion mystify me.

Nah I think I’m going to love Nance on our squad.
I was simply saying a bunch in here are saying Nas and Zeller will EASILY replace what Melo and Kanter brought us and I don’t see it. we lost an offensive punch off the bench and it wasn’t replaced is all I’ve been saying.
