It’s early but we’ve already blown out two WC playoff teams.

I saw Nance Sr play. It’s crazy how many kids of players I watch that are in the league. JJJ, Trent, Hardaway, Nance, Payton, Martin . Crazy.

I think Simmons would be an even better fit. Get it done, Neil!!!

 

Dude had 17 points and 8 boards in 23 minutes on 6/7 shooting from 2 with 3 steals and a block and some of y'all still say crap like this... Good grief.

 

For the game, Dame still struggled shooting the ball (6-for-22) but we won by 20. The bolded isn't 100% true.

It's a great question. It's the same guy who got banned for threatening me before but the dude is so desperate to share his "sky-is-falling" bullshit on here that he made something like 10 separate accounts and the Mods gave up (I can't blame them).

 

Agreed. I have been suggesting this since we traded for him. I do see the advantages of playing him with the 2nd team too, but we need him with the starters as well, he is our best pF. So even if he does not start he needs starter minutes. He is the type of player whose value does not always show up in the box score. He compliments everyone.

 

Maybe rule change as well?

i renewed. But im not attending games due to covid.
I doubt the team has caused people to not go to games. Id say its covid related or mandate related. i know others who signed up for the first time this year but also arent there. Covid and mandate related.

No one is going to give up their season tickets just because the team doesnt look like an obvious contender.

id put money on any attendance waining is due to covid and mandates. Not the team structure.

 

Dame has, by far, had to make the biggest adjustments to his game entering this season.

• He's being tasked with playing much better defense.
• He's learning a new offensive system that has him dominate the ball less.
• He's watching Ant take over a lot more responsibility in the back court on offense.
• He's adapting to the new rules where he can't hunt for cheap fouls to get some easy buckets.

It really does feel like a different team than usual. For whatever reason, his outside shot just hasn't been falling like it did last year. It was nice to see him start to turn things around tonight somewhat.

Aside from Dame, though, the big takeaway from this game defense. We held a team to 39 points in the second half. We'll win nearly every game where we pull that off.

Watching that game I specifically was watching Morant and Lillard. Comparing their roles and what they were doing. Lillard was taking on a much larger defensive role on the court. Ja was essentially standing in the corner on defense most every possession. He did apply a double on Lillard a few times but you did not see him try to guard Dame one on one.
Ja Morant can play offense but he has no clue on defense.

 

Does seem desperate for some kind of attention with the way he posts? I guess if you say something enough ways in a negative light eventually you will be right and you can say “ I told you so”.
