I have a theory that one day Chauncey will play Blevins and he'll light it up and we'll find out it's some kind of body swap Freaky Friday deal.
I doubt he’s trying to get traded (not his style), but otherwise I’m not sure. It’s alarming, to say the least. Portland is nothing without Lillard.
He's having a hard time playing off the ball Isn't there another thread about this? Do we really need another?
Forgot "gives Dame a chance to show his true character" as one of the options: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...-look-struggles-chance-show-my-true-character
More moving parts for Dame to adjust too. He will, just takes some players a little time. He's so used to methodically bring the ball up under total control and looking for seams or a shot. Now he's trying to do what Billups is asking and thats to involve Nurk more and move the ball around. Also, CJ & Norm are aggressive in looking for shots. He's not hurt and its starting to piss him off with the speculation he is. Dame will adjust and be the lethal player he has been, no question in my mind.
Could be a combination of some things but if I had to pick one, I'd say the most likely is just random variance. Dame is 45 of 129 shooting this year and 15 for 65 from three. He's done that or worse 148 times and 41 times respectively in his career. A few more games like this though and it will get hard to attribute to variance.
Look, what's the point in being a fan if you can't react to the current situation? What's the appropriate timespan to care about? Remember, in the long run we're all dead.
The fact you gave up on Dame after 7 games shows you were just waiting to bag on him and the team. Thanks for showing us what you true intentions were.
I have a homegrown application that downloads play-by-play data from the NBA stats API. I have every regular season game event going back to 2010. Then I have to write a custom query or program to answer a given question.
