And it begins! The games are televised at 12 so I'm not watching them. Here is what happened though.The Cards were beating the Cowboys by a TD, then the Cowboys get a field goal. Then the Cards try to punt but it's blocked and it was a safety so Cards lead by 2. Then the Cowboys were in field goal range but there was a penalty so they were forced to kick a 53-yarder and missed. Then the Cardinals ran down the clock. Final score: 13-11I know it's pre-season but that was great. We beat the Cowboys without Boldin! lolNo one really played that great for either team, but Warner got 151 yards and a TD, completing 14/19 passes. Fitz had 81 yards and a TD...woopy???
Today's game was cool. The Cards were losing 10-0 at halftime and then I left so I couldn't watch the game. But then they outscored KC 17-0 in the 3rd and ended up winning 24-17!McCown threw 2 TD's on 4 completions for 42 yards. Shipp was very impressive getting 56 yards in 7 carries. And Charles Lee who is great on Madden but will never really play for us was our best reciever today with 3 rec. for 37 yards and a TD. Warner wasn't bad either. In the 2 preseason games there have been 0 sacks for the other team.
The Cardinals defense has been dominant this preseason. Burt Berry and Okeafor have been awesome like they should be. Everything is in place for them to be a top 10 defense. Their secondary has also been very good except for Macklin the last game. It is only preseason though.Their offense is looking decent. Warner is doing alright. He has only been sacked a couple times in the 3 games and has thrown for over 100 yards in each. And their WR's have been as good as they should be. Who is this Lee guy? Even with his low rating he has been good for me on Madden and he will be our #4 WR this year.JJ Arrington has been horrible, and Marcell Shipp has been very, very good. Even before the season I thought that Shipp deserved the job but he is not getting it. Shipp ran for 26 yards in 3 carries and Arrington ran for 31 in 10. If you take that 20 yard run away then it would have been 11 yards on 9 carries. Arrington should just get a few snaps a game and learn NFL football and start next year. Shipp deserves the job!The Cardinals won 17-16 over the Raiders because of an INT that was returned for a TD. They are now 3-0.
About the Chiefs game....The Chiefs starters played the first quarter when the Cardinals played until the 3rd....
Well that was your mistake. And all our starters didn't play until then...maybe a few of them did just like I saw a few of your after the 1st.
I wasn't watching the game last night but I heard that the Broncos back-ups beat our starters, or at least they had some back-ups.Kurt Warner did great again, and Arrington struggled again gaining 7 yards on 5 carries. They said they now may have to throw it more, and even with how good Warner has been, that is not a good thing. They should start Shipp. Even though he won't be a great, pro-bowl RB, he will be better than Arrington this year I think.The final score was 30-21.
I think the Cards have a good hand this season but yeah, they need to start Shipp at the beginning of the season, then give Arrington some handoffs if they have a lead or something and eventually make him the starter halfway into the season. I don't think he's ready yet at this point to be the starter, so I say start him halfway thru the season
Yeah, The cards have had an impressive pre-season this year..hopefully they might at least get past .500..they have a much improved offense, so you never know..they might find there way sneakin into the playoffs..with out neone noticing!
