Shams: Olshey being investigated for workplace misconduct (2 Viewers)

For someone who hates 3/4th of the team you sure do love the wrong person.
in all seriousness, i dont care about neil olshey... hes not a good gm, but hes not a bad one either, we could do better, but we could do worse too

i just dislike that this team has cj mccollum, powell and simons who are all selfish players and even dame is a shoot first point guard, so its tough to watch that kind of bball and whats even more infuriating is that neither of those players (except maybe powell to certain degree) are at least solid defenders... so youre looking at players who love to chuck shots on offense, but theyre not really into playing defense

and then you have guys like nurk & roco who are supposed to play defense and on offense nurks role is to set screens, do handoffs and chase offensive rebounds for those guys... i can assure you that nurk and possibly roco too, are not enjoying their roles on offense... mark my words, if not traded by deadline, nurk is gone in free agency

I guess this will be a "hold onto your shorts" announcement either way

there's only one path this breaks the right way though and that's a pink slip as big as his ego

he'll probably remain the GM though...yeah, I have no optimism at all when it comes to this guy

Alright some possible news. I was on the call that Jake Fischer from BR hosts every week, and he regularly answers my questions.

Brought up the Neil thing and he said he it's not looking great for him. Unclear why this stuff surfaced now, but his behavior and conduct has been consistent since his time with the Clips. We *might* hear an announcement tomorrow about his future. He said he's talking with someone in the org but people are unclear if he gets ousted immediately or they wait til season's end to get rid of him. I brought up Brent Barry and he said while that's interesting, he and people in the org think the replacement is someone from in house.

Jake Fischer is always wrong. Remember when he guranteed within a week of the Olympics ending that Ben Simmons would be traded for Bradley Beal. He’s a classic broken watch is Atleast right 2 times a day type of predictor.. I wouldn’t take him serious

If Olshey is replaced by someone in-house, I'd expect them to have the interim tag. Unless there really is someone they love, currently working for Olshey. But my assumption would be that they don't want to rush the GM search, so they'd rather just have some uninterrupted continuity while they work on it.

he called nearly every single FA signing to the dollar amount a day before FA started this summer. he's baby Woj.

Olshey gone? But what will people cry about then?

Personally I’ve always been neutral on him. Don’t care if he goes or stays. But if he does leave and they promote from within, hopefully it’s just temporary until they find a more experienced/coveted person in the offseason. Upcoming decisions are too important to leave to some rookie

Is it finally happening?

I'd expect that too, especially if they want to take a run at a current GM like James Jones. Be a lot easier to get people to listen (and get permission) after the playoffs

Billups' honeymoon should be up in a few months.

CJ and Nurk are still taking fire. RoCo can fill in the complaint department when needed.

Danny Ainge

I don’t trust any of the in-house guys - they all were fine with the path of perpetual mediocrity.

I like Danny Ainge a lot. Good drafter, big balls. He’s had some health issues though. Not sure if he’d want to get back into it.

What about Sam Hinkie?
