I really like this move, we gave up a draft pick for him but the picks hasn't be released. I think Davis could be a great 3rd or 4th WR, I'm very happy with this move.

Ill explain this trade really quickly. In the end, this trade is about unconfidence in David Terrell, P.K. Sam, and Bethel Johnson. The #1-3 WR Slots are already locked in with Branch, Givens, and Troy Brown and since the Patriots love 4 and 5 WR sets, they needed another target. David Terrell, P.K. Sam, and Bethel Johnson(injured, again) were not getting the job done so they traded for Andre Davis to be their 4th WR. He is going to be filling the David Patten role in the offense and in Tim Dwight will be filling the 5th WR role. I see the Pats carrying 6 Wide Recievers though, so either Terrell or Sam will make the roster and the other will be cut. Bethel Johnson was placed on the PUP(Physically unable to perform list) and if there isnt a role for him or he isnt healthy by October, he will be cut also.

DBFan4Life, I think this fits better in the team forum, it's not like a blockbuster trade or anything, and then maybe it could have gone in the General section.I like this move for the Pats, it's a good trade for them. I wonder who they will get though.

Venom: Troy Brown isn't going to be the # 3 WR. He even said that, he said he wants to teach the younger guys and stuff. There is a battle at number 3 with Davis, Terrell and Dwight. I think Davis will be 3rd.

It's a little wierd, how they do that.

I never heard of a trade like that...Anyway, this is a good move for the patriots. They lost some reciever power in the offseason. However, they are picking up some pretty good new ones. Andre Davis is a great slot recever.
