Ericson Core will direct the film, which follows Papale's journey from sitting on the bleachers to the sidelines of the NFL. Papale, a bartender, was among a group of fans Philadelphia Eagles coach Dick Vermeil invited to try out for the team. Papale didn't have any real football experience yet he was invited to the Philadelphia Eagles camp. Filming is expected to begin this summer.
