Three-time Pro Bowl tight end Bubba Franks, absent from the Green Bay Packers during the entire offseason after declining to sign the one-year qualifying offer as a "transition" free agent, has reached agreement with the club on a seven-year, $28 million contract.Whole Story Here...
Will they even get 7 Years out of him?? Not a bad wod of money coming his way tho, a good TE who can block and catch the ball!
He's only 27. Why everybody talk like he 33 or something? And yea, thats not bad money for a tight end.
Good re-signing by the Packers, Franks is a pretty good TE.And yes, LawGenius, they should be able to get at least 7 good years out of him.I'm excited to see how he does this season.

While the guy is good, he is no Gonzalez/Gates/Witten/Heap/Shockey/Crumpler/McMichael. I put him as the top of the 2nd tiered TE's.As for getting 7 years out of him, the deal is probably structured so he will be cut after like 4 or 5 years and he wont need to play that long.
o yea i agree he is the only tight end on the team that can catch lol but he gives them help on both run and pass.
Yeha they needed him. Its not that he's amazing like Gates or Gonzalez but he's extremely consistent and I'm glad he's staying for 7 years.
idk if he will be there for 7 yrs he might leave before that but his is very good and that is nice to see him sign a 7 yr deal.
Franks really isn't a TE you'd like on your fantasy team in the average league, but is a servicable TE otherwise. Can they get 7 years out of him? Probably. Will they? If they want to.This isn't your National Basketball Association... lol
i know hes probably not a good fantasy tight end but if theres 12 people in ur league he is worth pickin up.
