Curtis Martin. He is higher on the All Time Yards list and is better in all stat categories. Curtis Martin is very consistent and getting old, but he still can lead the league in rushing yards... Bettis is still doing well at his age, but he's slipping faster.

Haha. Age won't ever catch up to Curtis Martin. He'll probably retire after a 1000 yard season...The steeler fan in me wanted to say Bettis. But I tried my best not to be bias.

I also agree with saying Martin, mainly because he is a step quicker and seems to avoid injury. But Bettis isnt too bad himself.

Disagreed, I don't care what it says on paper, THE BUS is the winner of the 2they are both different kinds of backs, Bettis is a big tackle breaker and Martin is an all-around kind of guy, but I have to say Bettis is more of a valueable, team player and the better RB overall

The way Bettis was used last year, along with Staley, was greta. Goal line situations.

Curtis Martin, hands down. The Bus [Jerome Bettis] has had a great career too, but I just like Curtis in the end.

Well, I just think Curtis is the better back, he has gotten more yards in less time then Bettis, is the #4 Rusher of all time(#5 is Bettis) and Curtis is durable, he doesnt get tired or worn down like Jerome Bettis does and Curtis is almost never injured.

Goal line situations.</div> yeah exactly, but not even just goal line situations, he was good in all areas of the feild, a huge, smashmouth back, I realize Martin won the rush title last year but I don't think that covers every aspect of the ideal runningback, whereas I do think Bettis covers EVERY aspect of the ideal runningbackHe has the size to plow away Linebackers, and peel off safteys and corners once he breaks into the secondary, he has tolerable speed for a back and has excellent awareness of whats going on around him--he can see the first down marker and get the ball there, he can handle lots of handoffs for a guy his size, not to mention, the Steelers had just 1 loss with him in the backfeild and they are primarily a rushing offense; he carried the team on his back in a sense (not that Roethlisberger/Ward/El didn't help, but as far as rushing goes)

Got to go with Martin. Age doesn't seem to be catching up to him to quickly.

It dont matter about age as long as hes still good.I think Bettis because he can break through tackles and get touchdowns as goal line situations and hes good overall in the feild to,Example getting first downs.

This is soooo easy. CURTIS MARTIN. He's had 1o or 11(cant remember0 straight 1,000 yard seasons. He lead the league in rushing last year(oldest to do that) and to add to all of that, hes #4 overlal in most rushing years, I would say thats preety darn good. [IMG]
