I doubt it.Losman has never played before, McGahee hasnt had a full healthy season since high school(he only played like 9 games last year) so whos to say he can stay healthy or not wear out down the stretch this year. Moulds is getting up there in age and you lost Jennings on the Oline. But I think theres too many question marks on Offense to overthrow the Jets or Pats. The defense will be tight as always unless they start hitting old age.

Actually yes, Losman has played before. He hasn't played MUCH but nevertheless he has played. Anyways he's shown something through the preseason, he's smart. He is yet to throw an Interception (Yeah its the preseason but look how many other good QBs have thrown INTs) Losman has played 2 Quarters each game and hasn't yet... thats showing he's got something in him. If Losman plays mistake free like he has been during the regular season we'll be a playoff team, Offensive mistakes were what plauged us last season.Of course the D will be hitting old age, age dosen't freeze, a few players were "too old" last season but showed they still got it.And not enough to overthrow the Jets? Jeez, you Jets fans act like you're worry free. You got DT issues, You got issues with Penningtons shoulder holding up, not to mention Can Pennington last all 16 games(he's yet to do so), you also lost your RT, Can Curtis Martin put up 1,600 yards again? He dosen't have the relief of Lamont Jordan. The way I see it is the AFCE is anyones for the taking. [IMG]

V?n0m pretty much covered it all in hops post, I have to say I pretty much feel the same as him on this subject, agree 100%.At least you're staying positive about your team though, that's always a good thing. [IMG]

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Losman2Evans @ Sep 2 2005, 01:51 PM)</div><div class='quotemain'>And not enough to overthrow the Jets? Jeez, you Jets fans act like you're worry free. He dosen't have the relief of Lamont Jordan.</div> Lets see.1)DT Issues? We lost Ferguson(who i've always thought was overrated). Big Deal. Most people here are forgetting 2 main things. We still have Dewayne Robertson(former #4 overall pick at Defensive Tackle) who is just coming into his 3rd season(usually the first season a DT plays at his full potential). We also have Lance Legree(experianced starter), Sione Pouha(who would have been a first round pick except he is 24 years old), and the always reliable James "Tank" Reed. So we are not exactly hurting too much at the DT position. The second thing is that we play a mix of 3-4 and 4-3 on defense, which means that Robertson will play nose tackle and we will only need one Defensive Tackle alot of the time.2)Penningtons shoulder isnt a problem, hes shown that he has the strength back and hes been getting the reps in order to get back in rythem. According to Pennington, this is the first time in 2 Years that he has been throwing without pain and the last season he did that he had a over 100 QB rating and won the Division that season. Can he stay healthy for a full season? Sure, why not. If for some reason we cant though we have Jay Fiedler who can step in and play well.3) The thing your not realizing is we do not need Curtis Martin to rush for 1,600 yds. He doesnt have the relief of Lamont Jordan? Umm. Did you ever hear of this player called Derrick Blaylock, yeah, hes the Jets backup Runningback now so we arent going to miss a beat when Curtis isnt on the field. If Curtis does show any signs of age, I guarantee Derrick Blaylock will be in there splitting time with him keeping Curtis Fresh. We also drafted Cedric Houston of tennessee who we are hoping will take over the starting job in a few years.4) We lost our RT. We lost a player who was a 3rd round pick, took a year to learn the system and didnt miss a beat. McKenzie had about 13 penalites between his False Starts and his Holding penalties and was the weak link of our offensive line, but the Giants felt like overpaying him [IMG] . We still have a 4th round pick in his second year player with tremendous upside and who has played at a starting Tackle level all of preseason in Adrian Jones. Im not worried in the least bit. Another thing you didnt bother to mention was that last season the New York Jets had the #6 Defense in the league, and that was the first season under Donnie Henderson's new system. Jon Vilma, Erik Coleman, Victor Hobson, Dewayne Robertson, ect all have a year more of experiance under their belts, we added Ty Law to the mix, we lost Reggie Tongue and Donnie Abraham(and both were burnt so much that is addition by subtraction). So im not too worried about it for now.
