1. Ant and RoCo to Indiana for Myles Turner 2. CJ McCollum and CJ Elleby to Philly for Ben Simmons 3. Nurkic and to Charlotte for Plumlee and Bouknight. Sign Trevelin Queen out of the G League. He's a better player than McLemore, Snell or Blevins. Sign Alonzo McKinney our of the G league. Dame / DSjr Powell / Bouknight / McLemore Little / McKinney Simmons / Nance Turner / Plumlee / Zeller
I don't think the other teams would necessarily be on board but we really have no idea how our guys grade out with them. I do think the Simmons trade would take picks added. That being said, if we could roll out that starting lineup with Nance as our sixth man... I would be really excited.
In the Philly trade maybe we can reroute Bouknight there as he just was a top10 pick so he should have a value probably better than one of our future firsts.
I bet teams like the Lakers and Nets would love to get him. But they wouldn't have anything to offer, really.
I think you guys didn't read my post carefully enough. I didn't say I think Horton-Tucker is as good as Little, I said that the Lakers seem to consider him a key young building block. I also said I think they overrate him. But even overrated, even not as good as Little, he's worth more than Covington, a three & D wing who's neither shooting particularly well nor playing defense well.
ya but bogdanovic is a terrific 3pt shooter with volume. and he's a better defender than roco. that deal would be a no brainer (we'd have to throw in a filler like Snell/Zeller/BMac)
I don't know why WE would do that. The 6 million in additional salary is actually like 12M after luxury tax payments.
RoCo is a low-risk, high-reward trade for contenders who already have plenty of scoring. So: Nets Bucks Jazz Bulls Sixers Hawks Either LA team Mavs Celtics Which ones have anything we want, even picks? (Note that dumping him is an admission, as if we needed it, that we are not contenders. That's so last year.)
Anderson's kind of fallen out of their rotation it seems (unless he's injured), plus they're stocked at 3. Covington would look great next to JJJr in a smallball lineup
" [Charania] The Chicago Bulls are signing veteran G/F Alfonzo McKinnie via hardship exemption, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium . McKinnie has played for NBA G League’s Mexico City Capitanes this season, averaging 24.1 PPG and 43.3 percent from 3-point range."
I like RoCo for Nesmith (and maybe a pick). Nesmith barely plays, is under contract for two more years after this one, and Boston has a TPE so it would get us so far under the tax that we wouldn't have to worry about it the rest of the year in other trades or signings. I think Billups could fix Nesmith and turn him into a decent 3 and D player. I also like the Chicago idea if we get our first back, just not sure how to make it work as easily without Chicago being able to take on RoCo's contract like Boston can.
