Hurd with Collabro is a lot better than Hurd with Kent. That being said not a huge fan.

    100%.

    Hurd is so-so.

    Not a fan of Calabro.

    Don't like the fit.

best in the business! The best call made by The Schonz was made one morning back in the Summer of 1977!

Following our winning the Championship there was a raffle that took place at center court one late morning in July and fans were able to attend. Only 750 names were to be drawn, each name pulled would be entitled to purchase (2) season tickets!

After 90 minutes or so, The Schonz drew my Dad’s name - at #681! It will go down as his best call that I ever heard!

When my parents went to the offices, a young administrator - Shari - explained that the seats being offered were seats 2 and 3 and if my Dad wanted to also buy seat 1 (in the row) she would go ahead and sell three season tickets. I was in grade 10 and that REALLY made me happy! This way my Mom and Dad would always go and then swap the third ticket between my younger brother and myself!

The next season began and it was my brother’s turn to go to the game. He must have been around 11 or 12 - just old enough for Mom to allow him to go buy his own hot dog at halftime. This one time my brother returned to his seat and behind him came a little boy and his Mother; Schmohn and his Mother Cynthia - of course, son and wife of our new rookie, TR Dunn! She told my parents that her son and my brother saw each other at halftime several different times and my brother said how he came every other game. Cynthia asked if perhaps he could come every game, sit down next to her and the other wives and babysit her son. She would leave a ticket for my brother every game at will call….and guess what? This was not only too cool, but I then got to go to EVERY game! And after each game, we’d walk down to pick up my brother from the lounge area. So every game I also got to meet all the players over the next couple seasons! Playing basketball myself this was all just too cool - and when I think back on it all, I hear The Schonz making the call, “and at #681, Falen Pierce, you’ve got yourself season tickets!”

    :)

If the worst thing you’ve got going for you is one of your announcers; you better be ranked #1 in the league…

My two favorites were the Schonz and Mike Rice. The other Mike and Hurd are my next two favorites.

Speaking of the Mikes…. During our broadcast last night, I shit you not I got a FaceTime call from Rice. He butt dialed me….i didn’t hang up, hoping to see how long until he realized. All I could see was his ceiling and him watching basketball. Realized about 30 minutes in! Miss that dude.
