Should the Blazers sign a backup big man with their 15 spot since Zeller is out?

I don’t think Dame considers it selfish. He’s doing it for the team to win. And do you feel the same when Dame hits these “selfish shots”? Like the 10 threes he hit against OKC in Game 5.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I was referring to your preferred plan of having Lillard take the rest of the season off and selling off all the vets in order to tank. How do you make improvements to a team with no supporting players (other than, I guess, Simons and Little) even with a top-four pick in hand (which, again, isn't guaranteed)? As I said in my earlier post, you can't turn one really good pick into an entire supporting cast. Are you assuming that Portland can dump all the veterans for expiring contracts, have an open payroll aside from Lillard and build almost entirely through free agency?

Sure, but they're not looking like title contenders. I personally don't think Lillard would want to be on the current Rockets (team affiliations aside).

You dump the veterans for some contracts that go beyond this season + whatever picks you can get. Because they will not be here next year regardless. It's the proverbial "kicking the can" into next season that Olshey was so good at, except this time you should be the one receiving picks that can hopefully be used down the line to improve the roster. The chance of RoCo and Nurk re-signing is so low it's just a matter of when we trade them, not if.

Just finished watching tonight’s game. Honest question..,,.. this is the EXACT type of loss just 7 months ago that Stotts would have gotten blamed for. Just trashed on for not making adjustments. Does our coach get the same blame sent his way after this one?

He should have received some blame as should Chauncey. They both let two brick laying guards continue to shoot over and over again while converting at a VERY low percentage, while much of the rest of the team was having a fairly good night.

    No accountability in either case.

I'm wondering if it makes sense to trade for Simmons, bench Dame to get him healthy, and tank the rest of the season with Simmons as the featured guy. Really see if he can play a Giannis-like role on this team.

Dame comes back next fall with plenty of rest. Simmons has half a year under his belt of being The Man. Little/Simons/Draft Pick (depending on what we have to give up) come back with more experience.

With some good luck maybe we're good enough to make the most out of Dame's window.

The only thing about Some is he isn't vaccinated. He would have to get vaccinated to play here or it's just another kyrie situation.

That loss was at the free throw line. Never should have gone to OT.

Game tonight fellas put last nights behind us!
Just get one win and build on it. Dame is right, there are other teams struggling too. Either man the ship or give up & jump overboard.

Unless Portland's laws changed recently (and they might have), only the two New York teams and the Warriors were in cities that had laws mandating that players had to be vaccinated in order to play home games.
