Again, length is a nice thing to have.

We squandered so many assets in the last few years acquiring a team of role players and projects and redundancies. Redundancies are OK if you trade the superfluous parts for something you don't have. We trade too much for specialists while all the teams we compete with made smart gambles and have all this size, length and athleticism we can't match.

    Blow. It. Up.

Trading for Ben Simmons isn’t going to be enough to make this team competitive. Just get a massive haul for Dame and start the rebuilding process now. He has given his heart and soul to this franchise. Let him get a legitimate chance to win a title elsewhere.

chauncey needs a kick in the pants for his coaching yet again. dude does not know how to stop other teams' runs. twice this game.

maybe not end all be all for us tonight given our shit defense, but he's not helping.

Simons shooting didn't look bad but his shooting in the 4th quarter wasn't good. Bad teams find away to loose we again found away to loose by not playing a lick defense in the 4th. This also a team that not coach well and getting believe Billups might be over his head for this job. I be surprised he last a year.

8:51 without a bucket 2nd half....about one 2 pt bucket in the first half....turnovers in droves against the best transition team in the league...yep...the gun is smoking and there's a hole in the boot

Dame quit and just going with the flow. He don’t like Chauncey as a coach.

This game was lost with whatever unit that was to start the 4th. Kinda tough in a back to back off OT no less, and no CJ, but it was clear we were struggling to create any good shots. This team has very few playmakers and are undersized. Not a good combo. I’m so fucking sick of these three guard lineups as well, even without CJ they’re doing it. And none of em can pass except Dame. Getting teabagged around every night. Give me length. Give me size. Give me some heart. Give me some IQ. Give me any of it, ASAP.

I thought Scott Brooks knew when you need to call a timeout? Has Chauncey stopped listening or is he just milking a paycheck and hoping to become the interim coach?

I don't know if trading for Simmons makes this team good enough anymore. I still think it's worth a try ... but another part of me is thinking Dame needs to shut it down and get physically right.

Thing is, if you trade, who wants to be part of this if Dame is recuperating, because that team's is going to be really bad, even worse than what we're seeing now.

    Tough decisions to be made.

Blazers lose their 7th straight game and have now lost 10 out of their last 11. Have Torey and Eric embraced the tank? Brandt's Breakdown is going to be epic.

I wouldn't go quite that far. DSJ is a liability because he won't shoot. If you had to consistently play him Ant minutes over a long stretch of games, teams would just sag off him and Blazer fans would get tired of him fast. There's a reason no one else wanted him and he's gone from being a top-10 pick to a third string point guard in four years.

I agree but how do you get him to a contender without gutting that contender and making it a non contender

I can't figure out why the fuck Chauncey thinks that when Simons is on the floor, he should be the one bringing the ball down and initiating the offense. It is purely stupid. I usually don't think +/- for a game means much of anything but the -29 Simons had in this game actually seems a good gauge of the terrible defense he played and the way he ran the offense. It was terrible on both ends of the floor

by the way, one of the two firsts Olshey paid for RoCo was the 16th pick in the 2020 draft:

    16 Isaiah Stewart
    19 Saddiq Bey
    21 Tyrese Maxey
    25 Immanuel Quickley
    30 Desmond Bane
