I personally like her roundabout way of leading into a story, especially her top story. I know some people don't like it but that is the way my mind works as well. And it's interesting and often tells me something I did not know or had forgotten (again unlike Coulter, who is hardly educational). I just wish she'd agree to speak at Castro Valley Pride - for some reason, maybe not happy in her early life, she always says no. I frankly admit Rachel is one of my crushes (the other is Tara Vander Veer, I seem to like smart athletic ladies, who'd guess?)
If factual reporting was one of her "elements" we could refer to that. Sadly, it is not. For balance, analyze what elements Maddow and feminists use when describing US President Trump. Nazi, fascist, clown, misogynist, ORANGE, small hands, necktie hangs too low...
I watch both and consider them broadcast clones with total opposite viewpoints, although Maddow resorts to personal insults, already discredited fake news, and stuff she apparently makes up on a daily basis while Coulter more often refers to the actual views and actions of people she is criticizing. Neither makes any attempt to hide or put aside their contempt for the other party, leaving both with 0 credibility as journalists. Neither presents a balanced report. On her show, Maddow often appears to be suffering severe mental illness/depression and I expect her to end up in a hospital soon.
Yes Rachel seems to be a good model for the left. Even our own up standing representatives of the progressive righteous mimic her tool act. Example, a post in another thread. Ominous! What is the action plan?
Then perhaps she shouldn't be a raving stereotype of an elitist Liberal, who snubs her nose at everything that isn't an elitist Liberal like her. I have nothing against her being female. I have everything against her being biased and self-righteous. And she DOES insult people, and her constant bashing of Trump is proof of this. You really want me to believe she wouldn't insult Trump voters if she thought she could get away with it? I don't think so. Yep. Thank you. There you go. Said it better than I could have.
I take no issue with the elitist liberal part of your comment. It's the "ugly" "hag" "with bad hair" parts that smack of sexism, because they have nothing to do with her political opinions or commentary, and everything to do with her conformity to societal gender norms.
Are you biased? Are you self-righteous? Do you insult people? I think you have exhibited all of these things in this very thread.
Insult people? Occasionally. I'm not proud of it, but I'm not perfect. I prefer to try and insult someone's POV or opinion, rather than the person themselves. But I do occasionally insult the person. Biased? Why; because I don't swallow the Trump hate that Liberals so willingly do? Because I despise Hollywood Liberals and Leftist talk show hosts who cherry-pick stats and facts with Leftist agendas? Snort. If that makes me biased, then I'll wear that badge proudly. Self-righteous? Give me a break. There's far more self-righteousness on this forum from others than somebody making a quip about Rachel Maddow. Now, if you'll excuse me...I have many chores to do.
Dang! That is an amazing take! Too smart! I don't think I have ever heard of anyone described this way. ummm, then you hear others say, she delivered up a Nothing Burger. Go figure!
Yes, you need to forgive Jade, he misspoke. There is nothing elite about Rachel. Plain ordinary liberal scratching like hell to make a living, is closer to the mark.
Right trying to get Maddow to admit she was wrong when she said vaccine works. Except she is correct. They really hate self proclaimed liberal out lesbian getting good ratings and big name guests.
