    Dame still has a number of good years left and if he needs surgery, get it done and come back stronger.
    There are trades on the horizon that could offer Dame a better shot next year.

    Seems like we're starting to reach the point of some of the fan base beginning their slow turn on Lillard, primarily because of the failures of Olshey, which is a shame. Yes, we all want team over players, and Blazers to win, not an individual. Just feels like, sucking is a lot easier for many fans, because you can dupe yourself in to the old Chicago Cubs' "There's always next year" sort of mantra. Trade Dame, and lets get super excited about Little and Simons, and whoever we get at pick 8 or whatever. Get excited about a guy like Poku on OKC because...well...he's young! With no expectations, we can just pump up shit players to whatever lofty status our heart desires.
    I don't give a shit about Lillard not liking Quick. Am sure more went on then we'll know, and I just don't care to jump to anything. I know we don't have a dynasty built with Lillard, I'm hoping on the Dirk method to get to a title, ideally. And if not, he's likely to go down as the best Blazer ever, I'm happy to be here to enjoy his career.

    Bro..... Quick is paid to cover the team, not be Dame's bestie. If the team needs to trade Dame, it's Quick's job to write that.

    Can't question at all?

    I questioned when he was so highly about Meyers when they were both drafted.
    I questioned his total allegiance to CJ for years instead of to the team getting better.
    I questioned his defensive effort at times.
    I questioned why he almost refuses to push the ball up the court regardless of the opportunity.

    None of that means I don't love him as an incredible player, a tremendous scorer, one of the best clutch shooters in NBA history, a very good leader, his worth ethic, etc. Somehow, this will come across as being a hater to some and they will skip the glowing endorsement that follows. Blind allegiance is....blind, no?

    Dame's talent is finite. Turning on him has nothing to do with it. He's finally showing signs of slowing down. This is our best shot at turning him into usable assets for the future. The Mavs had the luxury of riding Dirk into the basketball grave because the dude hung a banner for them.

    Good luck writing about the team if the star player won't talk to you. Only a matter of time before the team follows.

    Today Jody sold Pauls Beverly Hills 120 acre plot for 65 million and not long ago sold his yacht for 265 million......I think business is going well for Jody and Dame's paycheck is a wise business investment in her view. I just think people think loyalty is a bad business practice.....but it's not.

    I don't care about that either. He's had a tough time and this team has let him down. He has every right to pissy. I'd be more concerned if he weren't.

    he hung a banner for them a week shy of his 33rd birthday. You'd have traded him off for assets 2 years prior to them getting that ring if it was up to you.

    Also look at Duncan's career...and when Manu's contract was up Tim took a pay cut to re-sign him and keep the band together...class act just like Dirk. Today Tim is holding a clipboard next to Pop...that's the right way to run an NBA franchise

    Dirk is better than Dame. He also had more help than Dame has with pieces that fit better. If we had better pieces around Dame i don't think anyone here would want him traded.

    Tim and Dirk are better than Dame. They also both won titles for their franchises. If we had the right pieces around Dame to be a contender, all is good. But we aren't close at all.

    We finally got rid of our shit GM. I want to add better pieces around him. My hope is to try that approach, and not move this Dame for the potential of Dame with better pieces in the future.

    The 5 seasons leading up to his the title run, the Mavs won 8 Playoff series. Then he won 4 more in the Championship year. That is 12 series wins in 6 seasons. Dame has won 4 series his entire career. Perhaps not the best comparison.

    If Dame is open to taking a pay cut as his physical skills diminish like Duncan did, that would improve his chances to add pieces. Tom Brady has made a career out of it.

    The 4 seasons before the title run, they won 1 series. And with him aging, everyone here would have been proclaiming that we peaked, and it was the time to sell off.

    If we get a top 5 pick and turn that into help i'll be excited to see how we do. If we sneak into the playoffs and lose our pick. Blow up the goddamn team.

    The fact is this is all so heavily skewed by an injury that will get better and we've seen that when he's not feeling that injury, he's still an absolute beast. So, I would like to see what would happen if we traded some of these guys around him that don't complement him at all and see what he can do when healthy with a roster that makes sense.

    Tim and Dirk had more help....Jason Kidd was Dirk's pt guard...Jason Terry the 6 man.....Manu and Parker were with Tim and they were better teams.....hey....Terry Stotts designed the Mavs playoff run offensive success ....gotta love that! To me no way Dirk on his own with Dame's roster has a better season than Dame ...Dame has way more skills than Dirk...Dirk also played zero D...he was just a Reggie Miller type scorer really but they made it work

    Unfortunately NO didn’t put a team around Dame. In truth, from an organization’s angle, it’s time to rebuild this team and Dame happens to be a vital piece in the speed by which we make this happen.

    Dame will not be angry over this - he’ll be very happy if he finds himself playing in New York, Brooklyn, Chicago, LA Clippers, Boston, Philly or Milwaukee. The Blazers better never trade him to the Piss & Purple! He may never win a title with the Knicks, but he could win a ring with the other teams I list.

    CJ is overpaid, Nurk and RoCo will be free agents and I do not want to re-sign either. This all means that we could see Dame, CJ, Nurk and RoCo all depart….and while we are at it, trade Powell and now the entire starting 5 are gone. Clearly a rebuild.

    Keep Simons and re-sign him, keep Little, keep Brown. The rest can go or used as trade filler.

    The above is pretty bleak if you ask me. How do we make things better?

    1. Sit Dame now and trade him this Summer;

    2. trade CJ, Nurkic and RoCo now. For certain trade Nurkic and RoCo and if need-be, CJ can be moved this Summer;

    3. hopefully we don’t go on a win streak and we finish with a bottom 4 record and do well in the draft;

    4. Do not trade Dame to the Lakers! Preferably, send him to an Eastern Conference team.

    5. Sell the team to Drexler/Hakeem investor group and renovate the Rose Quarter complex

    6. Bring back the original pinwheel logo and add Gold to our Scarlet & Black colors.

    A new era must be built!

    and retire the “letter 0” as a gesture to Dame’s loyalty and contributions.
