Trump officers January 6 lawsuits - Bing "Trump's words and conduct leading up to and on January 6, 2021, and his ratification through silence when words and action were necessary, and his further ratification by direct praise of the rioters, as set forth herein, demonstrated a willful and wanton disregard for and a reckless indifference to Bobby Tabron and DeDivine K. Carter's safety and that of their fellow officers," reads the complaint from Metropolitan Police officers Bobby Tabron and DeDevine Carter.
Trump's Ongoing Coup: The Truth About January 6. This video is a bit lengthy but I like this guy. He used to be in politics, so he knows what he is talking about.
These quotes are 'interesting' - Trump delighting in the violent attack on the Capitol isn’t surprising. The Daily Beast reported on Thursday that “Trump has repeatedly made fun of the idea that certain legislators, police, or journalists were traumatized by the violent events of the day,” according to several sources spoken to by the outlet, who also noted that the former president has at times believes people are “faking” their post-Jan. 6 trauma. The Daily Beast previously reported that Trump privately referred to the Capitol Police officers who spoke to Congress as “pussies.” - Grisham described Fox News host Sean Hannity as a “shadow advisor” to Trump, and said she spoke with him often when she worked at the White House. “He definitely advised the president on many, many things to do. So it didn’t surprise me he was reaching out to Meadows or anybody else because that was something he did often to get a message to the president,” - While Grisham said she can’t speak to the network as a whole, “there were definitely” hosts in its primetime lineup — Judge Jeanine Pirro, Maria Bartiromo, Laura Ingraham and Hannity — who “were all acting as advisors,” adding that “on the night on election night before he took the stage, Judge Jeanine and Laura Ingraham were in the room trying to tell him what to go out there and say.” I mean what the fuck...
A reminder of how much worse it could have been had he not led them away from the chamber where armed guards waited and were ready to protect the senators at all cost. Those rioters should thank him. He saved their lives too as they would have been gunned down by the waiting guards. Alot more people could have died that day, protestors and politicians alike.
Conspiracy, deflection, and mockery: How right-wing media is marking the January 6 anniversary On the one-year anniversary of the January 6 insurrection, some of the most powerful forces in right-wing media continued to mislead or just brazenly lie to their audiences about the attack on the US Capitol, while others downplayed the events and mocked the news media for its coverage. ..... Fox's conservative, but more restrained, morning programs on Thursday minimized coverage of the attacks, choosing to emphasize other stories and attack Biden on different subjects. Notably, the word "insurrection" was not uttered once on the channel's air all morning. And when Fox did cover the attack on the US Capitol, much of the discussion focused on criticizing Biden. Meanwhile, Fox's radical and most popular personalities prepared for the anniversary by serving up extremist rhetoric to the right-wing channel's audience. Tucker Carlson, the network's highest-rated host who has enjoyed limitless support from the Murdoch family which controls Fox, mocked those commemorating the insurrection on his prime time program Wednesday night. In a nine-minute rant delivered adjacent to a graphic that read "'Insurrection' Day" and a chyron that at one point sarcastically said "EXPECT TO HEAR A LOT MORE ABOUT FEELINGS," Carlson scorned members of the press for openly discussing the trauma associated with covering the violence that occurred on that day. Carlson, who previously produced a special that promoted the lie that January 6 was a false flag operation, even attacked Sen. Ted Cruz, one of the people who'd actually tried to overturn the election from the Senate, for describing the events as a "violent terrorist attack." "Of all the things that January 6 was, it was definitely not a violent terrorist attack. It wasn't an insurrection," Carlson said. "Was it a riot? Sure. It was not a violent terrorist attack! Sorry!" Elsewhere in right-wing media, similar coverage abounded. Steven Bannon, the prominent right-wing media personality who once served as a top aide to former President Donald Trump, also assailed Cruz for his comments in a podcast uploaded Wednesday. Bannon said he could not believe Cruz would make such comments, and urged him to "learn" the Constitution. Bannon hosted Marjorie Taylor Greene, the far-right Republican congresswoman who has made a career in Republican politics by pushing conspiracy theories, to attack Cruz."To see what our institution is being turned into, perverting the Constitution and turning Congress, which is a lawmaking body, into prosecuting Americans, trying to lead investigations that they should not be doing, and we're not supposed to do as members of Congress is greatly concerning," she told Bannon. Greene added that she finds it "really upsetting" what is happening to some January 6 defendants. Over on Breitbart, the right-wing website once headed by Bannon and which has been largely allied with Trump, declared in a banner headline on its homepage that the one-year anniversary of January 6 is the "DEMOCRAT DAY OF HYSTERIA." And the far-right website The Gateway Pundit, a popular destination in right-wing media and a prominent peddler of misinformation about the election, among other topics, marked January 6 with a series of articles promoting various conspiracy theories that aimed to absolve Trump and his supporters for their actions. ------------------ Of course what else would we expect from unofficial Trump advisers. But this is all the "news" half the country consumes.
Ruh roh.... https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2022/01/kimberley-guilfoyle-donald-trump-jr-january-6-rally KIMBERLY GUILFOYLE’S LEAKED TEXT MESSAGES ARE NOT DOING THE TRUMPS ANY FAVORS
Yeah, the Trumps planned and financed the pre- insurrection rally. Trump himself sent the protestors to the capitol to "fight like hell," and watched on TV joyfully as they attacked the capitol. It's a shame he and his spawn will never likely have to pay the consequences and in fact he will likely be allowed to run again for president.
Oh, they see it. They know it is all about himself and they love it because they are all about themselves or mindless zombies. He actually got his supporters to attack the capitol without him taking any blame for it. Trump, his right wing talk show host minions, senators and congressmen/women are pushing narratives to minimize January 6th and it's working as Trump rebuilds his base. It's all leading to him running again. I don't think he will get the votes to win, but republicans are setting it up so that states like Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, etc can overturn the vote and elect him anyway.
Liz Cheney was the only Republican Congress member to attend today's commemoration. Adam Kitzinger was unable to attend as his pregnant wife is due any moment. Governor DeathSantis called the commemoration disgusting. Matt Gaetz said he planned to celebrate the insurrection. Fox "News" was unhappy Speaker Pelosi only honored the police officers who died and not the insurrectionists. On September 11, does Fox think we should commemorate the hijackers who died?
Biden Takes The Gloves Off, Tears Into The Former President For Inciting Jan. 6th Riot. Biden and Trump can't look into a camera without you knowing that they are reading straight from a teleprompter. It would be nice to hear what they actually had to say rather than what their writers have to say.
