I got stuck on I-40 right outside of Flagstaff overnight last March on my road trip back to Oregon. 3 inches had fallen. It was pretty funny with the cops driving up and down the highway with their sirens blaring in the morning to wake everyone up and get moving.

3-4 inches of snow expected through our neck of the woods today. Snowing right now. About an inch down. Beautiful.

That’s actually more of the rule than the exception, believe it or not. Sidewalks are almost always part of the city’s street or road right-of-way. Actually, many people are unpleasantly surprised when they discover their property line runs through the middle of their front yard rather than along the back of the sidewalk where they built their nice fence.

(I’m a surveyor and saw an opportunity here to flex)

I think we’re going to get a good heavy dusting this year and maybe another ice event like years past.

Temperature expected to reach upper 60s F this week. No rain in sight. Have to water the garden.

Hopefully it happens before February so I can watch it out of my window instead of working in it.

I’ll give it 3 weeks. If it had decided to rain today, it would have snowed.

    Snow before Christmas?
