They were street cars connected to overhead power wire and I remember riding them with my mother when we came to town when I was a tiny tot. Coming to town meant my father wore his best shoes and suit with a dress hat. My mother would wear a beautiful dress with a woman's dress hat and white gloves. Sometimes we would go to Olds and Kings department store taking time out to eat at Manning's buffet restaurant with fabulous food and the best smelling Boyd's coffee. I remember one of their specialties was a half of a cantaloupe with a scoop of vanilla in the middle. We also had Civil Defense shelters in those days in case of a sneak nuclear attack.
