When I was there, a few years ago, it all smelled like mildew and mold.

Just got invited to a wedding down in San Diego at the beginning of March. Friend of mine is in the wedding and so is her ex husband, so I agree to be her plus one. Who knows how this will turn out!

Anyway, I'll have a lot of time to explore while she is doing BS wedding stuff. Any suggestions? Definitely going to rent a car.

Coronado Island is good. Older "Tommy Bahama" vibes.
Pacific Beach is pretty chill/eclectic, it has a boardwalk you can walk to. Younger vibes.
Downtown Carlsbad and Encinitas is good too. Middle of the road tourists.
    Little Italy is interesting.
The Old Town San Diego is like a historic Latinx town.

Go get some good Mexican food.

Starting to make plans for Christmas/New Year's @ Asheville, NC. My wife's birthday the 27th, so around 12 of us renting a big lodge cabin and hanging out for the week. Beautiful place to be that time of the year.

Check out the Gas Lamp district downtown. It's a lot of fun!

The Strip Club in the gas light is a steak house, not gentleman’s club. They cook your steak table side.

    Big Island in 2 weeks.

SFO for a few days and then on to the Big Island again at end of April/early-May.

Germany and somewhere else (Spain, France, Italy, or…?) in Europe end of May.

Back to the Big Island in June.

I see a whole lotta Big Island in my life, but excited to get back to Germany for the first time in three years (I used to go 1-3 times/year).

I may be in Spain in May (14 to 22), probably Barcelona. May do another Eurospot to split the week, not sure.

Have the week off to do honeymoon. We'll see. Probably decode in a month to see how the World is.

Nice! We were thinking Barcelona or Santiago de Campostela. Amazing food. The Rias Biaxas area along the coast is amazing. Best seafood ever. And I get hours-old, fresh tuna for like $4/lb. in Hawaii.

    Yep.

    Percebes and Cava.

I've always wanted to stay here, maybe I'll look into it but we aren't much into wine so maybe later in life. I think it's also rainy season in this area around May, I've been to Santiago de Compestela in May and it was pretty cold/rainy.

Frank Ghery designed hotel near Rioja/Burgos.

If you are in Spain in Early May, Girona has thr Temp de Flors festival, where they cover the city in floral displays. It's like the 7th to the 15th, I happened to be there like 6 Years ago the day before the festival and it looked pretty epic.

Also highly recommend if you are in Catalonia, to go to Figures for the Dali Museum.
