I am a huge Jets fan but I really think that the Jets secondary needs to prove themselves first. They looked terrible in pre-season. But I hope the Jets win by 17.
Reason I said that is cuz Trent Green aint playen, hes one of the key guys on that team, thats gonna hurt them
The secoundry didnt look awfull in pre season 3 picks in 4 games by rhodes, and with Law getting hardly any time i think the secoundary will be fine!!31-17 Jets
They announced he's ready to go, they said he wouldn't be ready for the opener the other day on ESPN so I figured he wasn't gonna playnfl.com story<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Chiefs QB Green says he's fit, ready to go NFL.com wire reportsKANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 8, 2005) -- Two weeks after undergoing surgery to restore circulation in his leg, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Trent Green pronounced himself 100 percent fit."I feel really good," he said. "It's amazing how quick the turnaround has been, how quickly it came back."Doctors implanted a stent in an artery after conducting a battery of tests to learn why he was experiencing numbness in the left leg and foot. The surgery was performed on Aug. 30 and required an overnight hospital stay. When the Chiefs played St. Louis in their final preseason game Sept. 2, Green missed a start for the first time since he was acquired from the Rams in 2001."I haven't had any muscle soreness. My foot feels fine," he said. "It's really amazing how quickly it recovers."He was taken off blood thinners this week and will no longer require them."I'll be fine, ready to go," he said. "I took every snap (in practice), every drill the first unit ran. I'm taking everything today. I haven't had any setbacks."Green may feel great, but questions remain about the overall state of an offense that has been hobbled by aches and pains throughout the preseason. The top unit actually worked together in the four exhibition games for only a few snaps. Green played only the first two series in the Chiefs' third preseason game, and was not even at the stadium for the fourth. Most of the quarterbacking in those two games was done by emergency backup Jonathan Quinn, who was released on cutdown day. When the Chiefs host the New York Jets, will rust stain an offense that in each of the past three years has finished no worse than No. 2 overall in the NFL?"I think everybody feels real comfortable," Green said. "When we've all been together as a group, we've been able to move the ball, put points up on the board, convert third downs. I think everybody feels real comfortable with where we are."Also missing practice time have been Pro Bowl linemen Will Shields and Willie Roaf, Pro Bowl tight end Tony Gonzalez and running back Priest Holmes."Nine of the 11 guys have pretty much been together going on four years. I think everybody feels real good where we are," Green said. "I feel good with where the timing is."Coach Dick Vermeil admits he's worried about a slow start."I'm concerned about our passing attack. I'm concerned about being able to all of the sudden jump in high gear when we've been driving in second gear," he said. The Chiefs' high-scoring offense, which led the NFL last season by piling up an average of 418.4 yards, will be facing a tough early test from a Jets defense that was No. 7 overall, and No. 5 against the rush.Running the ball is one of the things the Chiefs do especially well. They averaged 143.1 yards on the ground, and against Atlanta set an NFL record with eight touchdowns rushing."That's going to be a great test for both sides," Green said. "We take a lot of pride in our run game and they take a lot of pride in their run defense. So that's going to be kind of a marquee matchup in terms of how this game goes."</div>Good thing he is playing, or the game would be a boring blowout..
Alright now I think the Cheifs will win, or I'm hoping they win so the Pats can have a early divison lead.
even with Trent Green, still think that Jets win. Remember, the Chiefs offense isnt based on WRs, its based on Gonzo and Holmes. Our DLine kicks ass so we will get pressure on GReen and we can contain Holmes, and I bet Vilma can at least hold Gonzo
Though I like both these teams, I'm rooten for KCI disagree that their offense is "based on" Holmes and Gonzo, though they do put up better numbers than the other players, its not like they are just filling useless roster spots. If your Jets D is double covering Gonzo and plowing into Holmes, you better believe that Green is gonna put that ball somewhere else.

im not saying that there WRs suck, just saying that Law can stop their number one (Kennison?) If we put Vilma and Coleman on Gonzo and evreyone else on the run will David Barrett (a very underrated CB) on their second WR (??) we can stop them. Andi understand that their OLine is good but im pretty srue that at least two opf them are playing injured (Baryr Waters and someone else) so we can and will put on Green (Donnie Henderson is an awesome D Coordinator)
Let's start it off. Chiefs up by 7. Way to start a game. Watch out Jets fans.LJ - 1 rush, 35yds, tdPriest - 2 rushes, 40 yds
