<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Ven0m @ Sep 11 2005, 06:40 PM)</div><div class='quotemain'>Thats one way to put a spin on the game....No offense, but did you even watch the game?I was not impressed by the Chiefs at all in this game. Instead this game was a meltdown, and a gift from the Jets.Their Defense was still awful. The scoreboard might say otherwise, but they allowed all kinds of yards to the Jets. Chad Pennington was 21 of 34 for 268 yards when you look at the stats because he was constantly driving on Kansas City. This is not even including several passes (at least 7 of them) which should have been completions which ended up as drops. The Jets got the ball into Kansas City's side of the field 6 times. The Chiefs had absolutely no answer for Laverneous Coles and Chris Baker who combined 13 receptions and over 180 yards(not including Coles's 2 dropped touchdown passes). While people are going to see this and think that the Chiefs defense was good or impressive, they really werent. The ONLY reason this game was a blowout, and probably the only reason that the Chiefs won this game, was because of the Jets recievers having a major case of the drops, and Chad Pennington having trouble holding onto the ball. If Pennington would have had a tighter grip on the ball, which im sure he will next week. This game would have been ours for the taking. The Chiefs offense was basically shut down after their third drive, the only reason they scored at all in the rest of the game was because they were given an extremly shortened field to begin with, the only problem is that we were down 17-0 after the third drive, but their offense wasnt very impressive with all the chances they were given. This game was more of a meltdown by the Jets then anything. Heimerdinger will go back out there and yell at the offense to hold on to the damn ball and im sure we will see a completly different Jets team week 2 against the Dolphins.</div> In the end, the only thing that matters is the score.
I agree ^Do any of you guys think the Dolphins could beat the Jets? I want the Jets to win so each of there records are 1-1 and hopefully the Pats will be 2-0.
I do think the Phins could beat the Jets, after the terrible loss by the Jets today and the great win over DEN that Miami hadI actually think its probable, so you better hope Jets clean up their act if you want that to be the outcome.
Lol not a chance the Phins will Beat us, one game, reading way to much in to it, the offense was poor yes, but expect a back lash agaisnt the Phins! a winnign margain to the jets of about 15 points
Ummm Blow the Chiefs?? Think we expected to, things didnt come off, but doesnt mean we will play like that every week
I didn't say you'll play like that every week...if you do, Pennington will have 96 fumbles for the year. lolBut blow[out] the Chiefs, is what I would say...slang? for Beat them by a lot of points...
Oh right thats cool, yer i did expect us to beat them by a fair margain!Pennington fumbled 5 times the whole of last season, he fumbled 6 times in the last game lol
Pennington was straight up awful. I am one of those people who think the Dolphins have a shot to win. But I will say the Jets play better then they did yesterday, it's going to be a good game and it's a win-win game for the Pats if the beat the Panthers.
er would be good for you guys as long as u win! but 1 game isnt going to put me off, i say a comfortable win for us
The dolphins are still partying from that last game. The Dolphins are coming off a collapse suprise victory over Denver where I really dont feel like they won the game as it was more of a Denver Collapse. The Jets are back at work going to have a tough week to fix all the problems, long days, lots of reps for the first team and I think the Jets will come back and win in week 2.I think its going to be a fairly close game, but I see us coming away a winner.
If you think the dolphins collapsed on their own, you obviously did'nt watch the game, but your right the dolphins and jets will be a close game I don't think the jets will drop the ball a second time in a row

Obviously the Dolphins played a good game, but I think that there not as good as the scoreboard showed.
The Dolphins will beat the Jets. There not still partying from there win they have Saban as a coach no way he would allow that. The Dolphins run a defense similar to the Patriots defense which has had the Jets number for a while. Ronnie Brown will have a decent game hsi stats from last game were bad for two reasons on one play frerotte threw a weird ball backwords and Ronnie jumped on it for a 10 yard loss and the Broncos were stacking the line of scrimmage. I think it will be around 23-13 Dolphins.
Nah Jets defense will get through a lot agaisnt the miami O-Line, expect a few sacks for us, there is no way we will play as bad as last week, and Pennington will want to make up for his poor game, and will throw 3 TD passes in my opinion 31-17 Win for us
Jets fans... pfft. Last week showed Pennington's shoulder definetly isn't OK. You guys need to understand that it's not okay this season could be in extreme jepoardy.
How did it show his arm wasnt ok, he managed fine in pre season, with no repocutions, he got pressured a lot and thats why he was sacked, he should of covered the ball better but that doesnt mean his arm isnt ok!!I dont see how a season can be in jeapordy after one game, if we lose to miami then mayby start ringing the alarm bells, but if we win then it will all be forgottn
