    at this point, even if CJ + was the best offer, I'd think Morey would refuse just so he won't look like even more of a fool then he already does

    Hollinger put out a piece today and beyond his dumb idea of the blazers trading Lillard he did bring up the obvious issue. Easiest most logical move is still to trade one of CJ/Powell and dip the tax at the same time.


    Beyond getting under the tax, Portland doesn’t need to do anything rash in the short term. Cronin can ride this baby out and see where it leads in the spring. But in any time frame beyond this season, having four small guards making nearly the entire salary cap between them makes absolutely no sense. With Lillard at $42 million, McCollum at $33 million, Powell at $17 million and Simons at, say, $20 million, that’s where we’re headed.

    Portland has pulled McCollum from the market. The rumor is it's difficult to get the value they covet for C.J. and they would rather keep him. They are targeting Julius Randle who's been struggling bad for RoCo and Nance. This could be a deal that happens as NY wants to get rid of Randle. Word is, Portland thinks they can do a SnT with C.J. and their 1st to land a star like Kyrie. It seems like getting Kyrie is their priority.
