Lets get the countdown going. 1 week away and lets post thoughts and predictions on this game. Score27-13 WinnerPatriotsMVPDeion Branch10 catches110 yards2 touchdownsWhy?The Panthers looked awful today and they were playing the Saints! I think the Pats can take it to the Superbowl winner according to SI. The Panthers secondary isn't that great and Kris Jenkins could be out for a little while. Corey Dillon will have a big game also.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (HandZ19 @ Sep 11 2005, 09:27 PM)</div><div class='quotemain'>The Panthers secondary isn't that great</div>Um, Chris Gamble and Ken Lucas (the Panthers starting corners) tied for 5th in INTs in the NFL last season. And the Panthers have a good veteran safety in Mike Minter, and 1st Round Pick Thomas Davis (Safety) will fit in perfectly with this up-and-coming Panthers secondary. And Panthers have arguably the best Defensive Line in the NFL that will be able to overpower the Patriots Offensive Line, without Kris Jenkins (out TEMPORARILY) Kindal Moorehead who tied Mike Rucker with the same amount of tackles. And JULIUS PEPPERS is undoubtabley the best Defensive End in the NFL today and with scary speed for a defensive end, he has a very bright future in the NFL, guy can even play coverage on some tight ends and recievers with his extraoridnary speed.. Brentson Buckner is a good veteran 2nd Stringer for Defensive Tackle and Mike Rucker is experienced at his position. Their LB Core is pretty good, too.So dont go around saying a secondary or a defense is bad when you're not educated about it.AND The Saints won by only a field goal [IMG] I have no doubt in my mind that Panthers will beat the Patriots. Will be a great match-up though.24-21 Panthers

The Saints would have beaten anybody in the NFL last week IMO. That was a game they had to win after the Hurricane. Im hoping a pissed off carolina now comes back and takes it to the Defending champs....but im sure the Pats will do what they always do. Find a way to win.

Minter isn't that great and Davis is a rookie so I don't expect a lot from him. But when you sayI have no doubt in my mind that Panthers will beat the Patriots. That's pretty funny. I don't care if the Saints won by 1 they still won the freking game. The Pats are better then the Panthers at every single position considering coaching staff, this game will be talked about all week but the Pats will come on top again.

And ANY team can win a game, which renders up as "upsets." Get familiar with that word, there were plenty in week one

Any team can beat any team, but I can't see the Panthers winning over New England. New England slowed down the best WR in the game last week in Randy Moss, so they will do the same, if not more to Steve Smith. Yes, the Panther's defence is better than Oakland's, but I still see Brady, Deion, and Dillion lighting it up. The loss last week to New Orleans has probably hurt the Panthers alot mentally, and I think this game will really show if the Panthers are indeed Superbowl contenders.

I got the Panthers here 3-0. A defensive battle here all the way with Julius Peppers my man and Rodney Harrison being the MVP's for their teams. Sucks I won't be able to see this one here in Toronto. I got the Giants and Saints though, well I think everyone does.

You know, i think the Pats are going to win this game, but you have to be joking me Handz. I would not go so far as to say that the Pats are better at every position, and as a matter of fact, they are probably worse a good amount of the positions. Plus, you show that you dont have a clue about the Panthers when you dont know that Kris Magnum is their Tight End, or that their starting fullback is Brad Hoover, not Nick Goings(who is the backup). Also, Deshaun Foster will be the runningback most likely against the Pats because Davis hasnt been playing alot.Brady > DelhommeDillon > Foster Branch/Givens < Smith/Colbert (Dont underestimate these 2 up and coming stars)Pats WR Depth/TE > Panthers WR Depth/TEPats O-line < Panthers O-line (Not Even Close)Pats D-line < Panthers D-line (Not Even Close, even without Jenkins)Pats LB = Panthers LBsPats CB < Panthers CB Pats S > Panthers S (Although Minter might be one of the most underrated players in football)As the matchups go, they went 4 Pats - 4 Panthers - 1 Tie, which is why this appears will be a very close game, which the Pats will win IMO, although ill be cheering on those Panthers.

And, they will play excellent defense because they lost one of their best defensive players, Kris Jenkins. This will be a game full of hits and great defense all around.Let's Go Panthers!

Your a redsox fan and Panthers fan. That's funny. But talk to me tomorrow! A lot of people like you think to much of this Panthers defense, the Saints scored 21 on them. That means the Pats will score 41 on them. But really I say the score will be..27-13.

All of you guys are really underestimating the Panthers. They almost beat the Patriots in the Superbowl. Now, the Panthers are ready to get revenge on the Patriots. This will be the Superbowl preview for sure.

The Rams and Eagles almost beat us too, but that didn't happen. I don't thinkt he Panthers are a Superbowl team, I say the Falcons have the best shot in the NFC.
