I can honestly say I've never thought to do that. Now I feel bad. But I also don't tip Starbucks baristas when it pops up on my app.
I have no problem pumping my own gas. I generally purchase gas at Kroger and am able to use points for gas discounts (in some case, upwards of 40-cents, or more).
That's how we're being conditioned. I mean, in some cases, I'd rather check out my own groceries as opposed to waiting in line for a checker.
Fuck all that. People would rather get out into the rain and spill gas on their hands than chill and extra 2 minutes?
How often do people really spill gas on their hands when pumping their own gas? And aren't most gas pumps covered?
I have no problem with pumping my own gas, but saying that gas prices will go down if self service is instituted is about as realistic as saying that the 2020 election was stolen. In other words, absolute nonsense. So unless they absolutely guarantee that the price of gas will drop in relation to what they save on labor costs, I’m all for letting things ride as they are……
They are honestly surprised and appreciative when you do it and after a few times they pump your gas first before other people.
Lol Oregonians. get out. Put card in. Enter code. Put in pump. Once you hear the click your good to go. Don’t have to wait for anyone or deal with ex con or 18 year old pumping gas Honestly I’m surprised they haven’t done away with it yet. Struggling to find people who want to work for fast food. At least doing that you don’t have to deal with the cold and heat. For some, it might be the most manual labor you’ll do all day
BUT YOU SRE DRIVING A FUCKING PRIUS FAMS!!!! My car doesn’t make me look cool…. I already am! Nothing better than hitting open road in my car. Even when broke, that’s worth it to me.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA ... I've pumped my own gas 99.99999% of my life (other than when I had to sit around waiting for gas in Oregon) and have not once spilled it on my hands. Plus you know they have these things called roofs that sit over gas pumps so you don't get wet in the rain. This has to be nominated for Charmin Soft Post of the Year on these boards, and that's saying something.
I prefer it as it is why are people so impatient when getting gas? If you have somewhere to be, plan better
Never understood why this is such a hot button issue with some. Like pumping your gas or having an attendant do it is a big deal. I prefer to let someone else do it but it's whatevs I do feel like a dummy when I go to Washington and forget, then sit in my car for a few minutes getting angry and thinking "damn the service here is shit!"
It takes about 5 minutes longer to get gas with an attendant then if I pump it my self. Get gas once a week. 52 weeks in a year times those 5 minutes is 260 minutes of 4 hours and 20 minutes. I have better things to do in my life then spend 4+ hours a year waiting on a gas attendant.
