Nance is our small-ball center and he's smaller than that!

Dude…just…nvm. I’m not gonna try to explain why that’s two completely different situations.

Regarding Quick's report about his conversation with Nurk in which he was told about a conversation Nurk had with Cronin in which Cronin supposedly said that he wasn't planning on trading CJ or Nurk and was planning on building around Dame, CJ and Nurk. I'm just hoping that the conversation with Nurk went something like Nurk asking if Cronin was planning on trading him or CJ and Cronin telling Nurk that along with Dame they are the current core of the team and the plan at that time wasn't to move any of them... just standard GM spin keeping morale where it needs to be with a player who has shown his game to be very affected by how valued he feels, a guy who pops off at the mouth and could totally poison the locker room if told something like "every option is on the table".

Cronin was probably just managing players like he should be but there is also the horrifying chance that Cronin and Olshey have been of the same mind about that trios potential all along. For the record even if they aren't traded now, I very highly doubt that Cronin's evaluation of the viability of this core is as dogmatically positive as Olshey's.

That Norm/Trent deal is starting to sting a bit.

Panic move by Olshey to keep his head above water.

Definitely. Should have moved CJ and given the starting 2 guard spot to Trent.

Keep an eye on Utah here with Roco. Just lost Ingles to a nasty knee injury, might be for the season.

They don't have a first to trade until 2026. Also with all of the teams reportedly interested in RoCo I think his value is a little higher than a late first.

He's expiring, so a 1st is likely the best we can do. And only playoff teams would be interested, so they'll all be later 1sts.
Although, I do agree that I would prefer one sooner than what they can offer.

Trent is averaging 17/3/2 with 2 steals while shooting 38% from 3 on 8 attempts per game. Fuck you Neil.

Well, Norm is averaging 18/3/2 with one steal a game and shooting .392 on threes. In about a minute and a half less per game. However, Trent's advanced defensive statistics have improved a lot since he went to Toronto and are a lot better than Powell's . Maybe if we had got a different coach sooner, we would still have Trent,

Trent is preferred for a rebuilding team offloading their star.

Joe Ingles went down. Utah could be desperate for some help. I wonder if Roco + Mclemore could tempt them to move Clarkson (with us re-routing to a third team). I don't think they have much else on their roster that is interesting and have already traded a few future picks. Being over the tax and old, their future looks kind of bleak.

Utah's season has really turned sour

Their record was 28-10, which is a 60 win pace that had them at 3rd seed. They have now lost 11 of their last 13 games and then Ingles gets hurt. They are only 1 game ahead of Denver and Dallas and could sip down to 6th seed in the next few days
