http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/live/NFL_20030907_NE@BUFNow, i know have of you are wondering why I am bringing up a game from 2 years ago still, but in this game, the heavily favored pats went to play buffalo and completly got their asses handed to them in that Week 1 game. But just like any good team goes out there and does what is necessary to fix those mistakes and they did what was necessary and ended that season 14-2 and Won the Super Bowl.Meanwhile, last season the New York Giants started the season 4-1 and managed to finish the season 5-11. This was because of injury, and alot of bad breaks. This shows that no matter how impressive your team starts, it means nothing if they cannot finish strong. So before any fans go jumping off the bridge(mainly Jets and Broncos fans), just remember that it is a long season and there is still a long way to go.
You're definetely right. No team is safe from the chance at exploding out after losing the first few games, or crashing down even if they won their first few games.
1 loss is nothing, and if anything it will help teams rally to win week 2for the winners-- 1 down, 15 to go.ITS A LONG ROAD AHEAD AND I LOVE IT
Ven0m, I agree 100%, way to put it.Go Broncos, there is still hope, even after getting killed by the Dolphins! It's only Week 1...
If anyone read this weeks 'The Sporting News', I just thought this was funny...it's just one of those little things they put at the bottom of the page.Half the NFL appears Super Bowl bound - For teams that lost in week one...well, the seasons overI read that and remembered this topic
Right as allways. The vikings have gone what. 7-0 to start and lose to the cards and miss the playoffs in the last game? Am I correct? You could add the Vikings into your list of fan suacide

Like in any sport, anything can happen over the course of an NFL season. The teams that lost their first game could still win the Superbowl for all I care. The teams taht won their first game could miss the playoffs. Anything can happen
