(my very first outraged thread) The female CNN staff certainly is. https://nypost.com/2022/02/02/femal...ust-still-has-a-job-after-jeff-zucker-affair/ Female CNN staff furious Allison Gollust still has a job after Jeff Zucker affair Female employees at CNN are furious that chief spokesperson Allison Gollust is keeping her job after “lying” about her affair with newly resigned CEO Jeff Zucker “for years,” sources told The Post. “Why is she allowed to keep her job?” a CNN insider railed. “CNN is supposed to be a transparent news network. How does she get away with lying about their affair for so long?” One insider called the comments “a total lie.” “They’ve been together for years,” the source dished. “And she’s still lying about it today — the statement she made that ‘recently our relationship changed during COVID’ is a total lie.” Early Wednesday, Zucker sent a memo to colleagues announcing he’d be retiring after his relationship with Gollust came to light during CNN’s probe into Chris Cuomo. He called the relationship “consensual” and told staff that he wished he’d disclosed it sooner. Gollust released a statement shortly after saying that she and Zucker had been professional colleagues for over 20 years but their relationship “changed during COVID.”
Just generally don't understand this. If somebody is going around sexually harassing employees they should be fired if the company knows what's good for them. But I don't have a problem with a somebody dating their boss. I may lose some respect for the boss, depending on how the boss handles it, but that's about it.
The stink is over not disclosing (in fact lying about) the relationship, which if IUC is a contract violation.
I don't get it. None of the company's business, IMO. I don't think a company should be able to require this of their employees.
I’m more confused as to why several high profile people on Fox News still have their jobs after all the evidence that they had been actively advising Trump.
I've worked in office environments where women get more worked upped /expressive, then men, when it comes to these types of Company happenings. Another stitch and bitch syndrome.
Then, there's Chris Cuomo..... https://www.businessinsider.com/cnn...ed-zucker-relationship-revenge-reports-2022-2 CNN insiders suspect Chris Cuomo flagged Jeff Zucker's workplace relationship as revenge for firing him, reports say Some CNN insiders suspect the former news anchor Chris Cuomo flagged Jeff Zucker's workplace relationship as revenge for firing him, multiple reports say. Zucker resigned as CNN's president on Wednesday after admitting that he had failed to disclose a romantic relationship with Allison Gollust, a senior executive at the network. In a memo, Zucker said he was asked about his relationship during an investigation into Cuomo, who was fired from the network in December after it emerged he had privately helped his brother, then-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, navigate a sexual-harassment scandal. "Notice Zucker mentioned how this came from the Cuomo investigation," one senior CNN staffer told The Daily Beast after Zucker's announcement. "People think this is clearly Cuomo dragging down Zucker on his way out." https://nypost.com/2022/02/03/jake-...-up-cnn-after-zucker-refused-contract-payout/ Jake Tapper said Chris Cuomo ‘blew up’ CNN after Zucker refused contract payout CNN’s Jake Tapper reportedly accused his network’s corporate parent of throwing Jeff Zucker under the bus after the ousted news honcho refused to capitulate to Chris Cuomo’s demand for a multimillion-dollar payout. Hours after Zucker’s resignation Wednesday, Tapper asked WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar at a tense meeting inside CNN’s Washington bureau about the “perception” that Zucker’s refusal to pay Cuomo the remaining $18 million on his contract ultimately led to him losing his job, according to Puck News. “Jason, if you could address the perception that Chris Cuomo gets fired by CNN, Chris Cuomo hires a high-powered lawyer who has a scorched-earth policy, who then makes it very clear to the world that unless Jeff gives Chris Cuomo his money, they’re going to blow the place up,” Tapper asked Kilar, according to a recording of the meeting
First there's a suspicion by someone unknown to us who suspects Chris Cuomo flagged Jeff Zucker's workplace relationship as revenge for firing him some unknown to us has reported? Then we get a piece from a not credible NY Post? I recommend that you try posting something credible.
