PTSD Post-Traumatic-Stotts(Olshey)-Disorder and very understandable. Nonetheless, you are 100% correct. I will give Cronin through the offseason to evaluate. That said, he's going to have a HUGE hole to dig out of in terms of my view of him if he doesn't make significant moves by the deadline. If he hasn't traded CJ by the end of the Summer I'm done with him.
In our wins in Boston and Chicago, our starting lineup was Simons, McCollum, Little, Covington and Nurkic. If I were GM, I would do everything and anything to trade for a player who could duplicate what Little was bringing to the SF position. I'd try to trade Powell or McCollum or Simons at the deadline. I'd prefer to keep Simons of the three, but it all depends on what we get back. If we could also replace Covington with such a player that would be good too, but the big problem right now is the SF position.
Sadly, he was able to play in all 3 of the series in question: 2018 vs Pels, 2020 vs Lakers, and 2021 vs Nuggets. I disagree with the line of thinking that they are garbage because they didn’t win those three series. There is a middle ground. We didn’t win the title or even a round but we had a high level of entertainments during the regular season those years. In the year we lost to Pels, we had a 13 game win streak. We earned the 3 seed in the West in back to back seasons. These are accomplishments. I don’t hold up the 3-12 as end all be all. I want to win a title, but if we don’t, that doesn’t mean there was ZERO success like some people act as if there was.
So they going to run Dame, CJ, Nurk back. Those of you thinking that said anything different are delusional. They ain't trading Dame. They can't Trade CJ. Nurk is as good as they can find available.
If this is the truth which there is a good chance that it is, then Cronin is really stupid for saying it. Why on earth would Joe tell everyone who we do and don't value when that only devalues the players that he is openly saying he intends to trade? I think there is also a good chance that Cronin likes the offers that are on the table for CJ and Nurk and he's trying to talk them both up and make other GMs believe that we still want them in order to squeeze extra assets out of the teams already interested. I think this week will be very telling and we'll know for sure by the draft but by no means do I like the things he said unless he makes huge moves and was only giving the interview to better his negotiating position.
You are going to be on pins and needles until Thursday I see. JK Got to admit that is a pretty good spin though.
No one is running Dame, CJ and Nurk back. If CJ stays here, Nurk will be waving us goodbye first game after deadline. He knows he can play as first or second option. With CJ he goes as a 3rd and sometimes it ends as no option at all.
No they don't. Try again. This was his chance. You can't say someone sucks before you see them do anything. That's moronic. Nice try.
but you can be worried and skeptical based in their interviews and answers, which is what many of us were
